I sat there and stared at her. Taking in her beauty as she steadily approached. I was greeted by an uneasy smile. Her cocoa skin glowed. She had obviously changed over the last four month's. I couldn't bring myself to look away. I most likely looked like a dog staring at a T-bone steak. Her lips moved but nothing came out. Not anything I could hear. Not that I wasn’t listening, but because I was too captivated. It may sound like some corny romance movie but I am truly speechless because of her beauty right now. She wore a beautiful long ankle length flowing sun dress. It was tangerine orange with complementary blue strips descending down the bottom, giving it the effect that it could be a skirt. I, finally after a mental refresh came to my senses. “H-Hey”, I staggered aimlessly. She smiled. Oh how I missed that smile. “Hey”, she finally replied. Her voice was soft-spoken with a hint of shyness. I returned with a shy smile of my own. “You want to sit?”, She looks at the chair I was pointing to that was placed in front of me. She nodded as she slowly walked over to the chair. I watched her as she sat.

There was another awkward drawn out silence. The silence was a silence that is unexplainable and one can’t comprehend it even if they tried. I started fiddling with my fingers hoping that maybe I’ll get the urge to speak. But alas, nothing. I could see by the look on her face that she is as bothered as i. I took in a deep breath and began to construe. “Joya i-I’m sorry…. I was a coward”, She seemed a little smitten by my sudden outburst of sorrow. Yet she remained silent. Her silence hurts. I just wish to know what’s going on in that beautiful mind of hers. I looked at her at her then the table and tried again. “Are y-you mad?”, I waited again for a response. She shifts in her chair before responding. “No”, That simple word made all my hope come back. “Why didn’t you tell me you were here?”, She said, her voice still not changing from its soft-spoken pitch. I again fiddled with my fingers while avoiding eye contact. “I was scared “, I said finally look back up. Her dark almond eye’s began to darken as her stare became intense. “I made a fool of myself for you Michael", My heart sunk. The hurt in here voice made all the guilt gush back in. I wait for her to continue.  "Everyday, my mother would call and tell me to get over it, everyday I would sit and cry, I didn't want to eat nor sleep, It was you who kept me from moving on, But it isn't all bad, those letters came in, God what beautiful letters, they brightened my day just as much as it gave me hope, I'm a little mad you hid behind a name like Mark Wilbur, but I must say that I'm glad you did, It kept me together emotionally", She reaches for my hand.  I let her take it and caress it with her thumb. From that contact, all feelings rushed back. Even new one's emerged. I had an urge. To hug, kiss,  and hold her. The urge was strong but I fought it knowing I have to still explain my absence. I tangled our hand together before I responded. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry words can't even fully express my sorrow I have felt since loosing you, I came back later that day to face your father, I came back for you, When I got there you were gone, everything was gone ", I paused after having a quick flashback of that afternoon. "My heart was broken, I felt broken, So there on I did nothing but moap, that felt like instinct to just moap, but mother told me it was useless, I needed to fight, so I decided to fight, and this is where I am after the battle ", She stays silent for a moment. Suddenly, a single tear trickles down her face. I take my free hand and softly swiped it from her face. "Thank-you ", She said looking down a little. I smile then slowly lifted her chin. "No thank-you, For teaching me things in life one should fight for ", She smiles. That sudden urge came back. I didn't want to fight it. Not this time. I cup her left side of her face feeling the warmth of her beautiful Hershey skin rub against my slightly sweaty palm. I slowly lean in. She stares at me the entire time while waiting patiently for my lips to meet hers. Once they did meet I felt complete. I felt victory. Her lips I longed for. They felt like the inside of a rose. I slowly pulled away. Her eye's were closed. When she opened I couldn't help let out a smile giggle. She looked at me confused by  my sudden laughter. I gave her a reassuring smile then answered her unasked question. "I found it cute that you had your eye's closed ", She cheesed (Remember that's how she blushes). After a moment of beautiful silence, we began to chat. Catching up on everything under the sun. I even told her about my sad outcome of deciding to move here; Loss of college full-ride scholarship. She scolded me a little but overall understood. I also mentioned applying for a new college here. She was elated, seeing as though there's a likely chance of us attending the same school.

After awhile noon caught up with us. I sighed looking out at the now purplish-orange sky. "God I missed talking to you Michael ", I smile. "I missed talking to you also Harmony", I slowly stood up as she mirrored my action. "I can walk you home if you want?", She looks at me then back down. "You can't, I live in a dorm remember? ", "Oh I see ", She kicked at a lone pebble in a small puddle.  I grabbed for her hand. She looked up at me and allowed me to continue with her other hand. I looked at her. Her pupil's were softened with an intense stare. "One day you'll be my wife, and on that day I'll be internally yours ", I said in the mist of our silence. "And I will look forward to that day ", She stepped closer to me and rested her head on my chest. I placed my chin on her head and took in her aroma. Her hair smelled like fresh cocconut from Hawaii. When She pulled back she looked up at me again. Then she placed a small kiss on my lips. Pulling back, she whispered I love you then slowly loosened her grip on my hand's. I slowly released her hands as she backed away. She then turned around and walked away. We didn't say goodbye, we didn't say farewell. For words during that moment would have ruined it. Needless to say, our silence speaks loud volume...
