Chapter Fifteen

It's been three hundred and sixty-five days. Even though I'm trying, I still break down sometimes. I'm getting better though. I'm trying my best.

As I walked through the company, I greeted workers and guests.

Suddenly, someone bumped into me.

"Excuse me. Are you alright?"

I look up and saw a man about my age. He had short hair and dark eyes. He gave off a friendly vibe.

"Yeah," I answered.

As I was about to take a step, I lost my balance. Suddenly, the stranger's arm was wrapped around my waist. I moved away from him quickly because it felt different. Very different.

"Thanks," I said before walking away.

"Where are you going?"

Why does he want to know? I thought and quickly walked away.

A few seconds later, he was beside me.

"Hey," he said.

"Wh-how did you get here so fast?"

"Skills," he smirked.

I froze.

-Flashback-

I was about to reach out and touch his face, when suddenly his hand shot out and grabbed mine. I squeaked and Leo opened his eyes and chuckled.

"How did you do that?"

"Skills," he smirked.

I shook my head and walked to the direction of my office.

"Wow, you own this?"

Suddenly, a sharp pain shot my chest. I winced before answering him.

"It's temporary," I answered.

"How come?"

"It's classified," I replied.

"Right," he said.

"Not to sound rude, but why are you following me?"

"Well, I have a meeting here. I was hoping you can show me the way there since you're in it also," he answered, smirking.

"What's your name?"

"Drake Dash," he said and stuck out a hand.

"Chelsea Dawn," I said shaking his hand.

"Lovely," he smirked.

"I need to grab something from my office. I will be right back," I said before I walked in.

I grabbed some important papers and walked out.

"Alright. This way," I told him, gesturing.

"Thanks," he said to me once we got there.

I nodded and he held the door for me. Once everyone was seated, the meeting started. I noticed that Rick wasn't present.

He must be running late, I thought.

Throughout the whole meeting, Drake kept on looking in my direction. Honestly, it was sort of creepy. It's like every thirty seconds, I would just see him glance. Maybe I'm just thinking too much though.

When the meeting was over, I walked back to my office, but was stopped by Drake.

"Hey, Chelsea," he called.

I didn't answer.

"Are you free tonight?"

"No," I answered before I continued walking.
