Chloe Shore (17) lives in Miami, Florida with her mom, little brother, Jacob (13) and stepdad. She's a professional skateboarder and part time surfer. Chloe isn't very social, she's the kind of girl who wears Vans, SnapBacks, beanies and doesn't load up on makeup. Her brother, Austin Shore (19) lives in Huntington Beach, California. He moved away when Chloe was 16, when he was 18. Chloe decides to visit Austin for the whole summer because she hasn't seen him for almost two years. When Chloe meets Austin's friend Wesley Stromberg, what happens? What will Wesley have to do to get on Chloe's good side, which might be difficult after his not-very-good first impression?
