Chapter Eight - Surprise

Chloe's POV

"Chloe, wake up," I heard Wes say.

"No," I groaned. He chuckled and started tickling me, making me shriek.

"What do you want?" I mumbled.

"Food," he said. I opened my eyes and glared at him.

"Make food yourself, you have hands," I said closing my eyes again.

"Pleeeeeease?" He whined.

"No."

"Pleeeeeeease please please please pleeeee-"

"Fine, just shut up," I groaned.

"Thanks," he said happily. I mentally rolled my eyes and felt the couch move. I felt something soft on my cheek and opened my eyes finding Wes smiling stupidly.

"Did you just kiss me?" I asked holding back a laugh.

"Maybe," he said walking away. I rolled my eyes and got up. We walked into the kitchen and I started making pancakes.

"Where is everyone?" I asked him.

"They went out to Starbucks."

"Really?" I said turning around.

"Yeah, I didn't wanna wake you up," he said.

"I thought you were just complaining how you were afraid I wouldn't wake up," I teased him.

"You pinky promised me you would so I had no doubts," he teased back. I rolled my eyes and finished the pancakes.

"Here, eat," I demanded.

"Yes mum," he said sarcastically.

"So what should we do today?" I asked.

"Go back to my place, I'll tell up more X Factor stories," Wes said.

"Sounds good," I said smiling. We ate breakfast and left Wes's moms place heading back to Austin's house.

"I'll only be a minute," I said running into the house.

I took a quick shower and blow dried my hair. I didn't bother straightening it and instead put some stuff in it to make the frizz go away. I did my usual makeup, put on some dark jeans short shorts, a simple faded gray t-shirt and my blue and pink Vans. I grabbed my phone and was about to walk out when I saw a picture on my night stand.

It was me, Luke and Layla standing on top of a huge hill, Kiwanis, back in Wisconsin. I was standing in the middle laughing with Layla and Luke was glaring at us. We were making fun of him because he sucked at snowboarding, the opposite of Layla and I.

I sighed and blinked back tears. I flipped the picture upside down so I wouldn't have to see it before walking downstairs. Wes was sitting on the couch going through a book smirking.

"Is that my baby book?" I asked annoyed.

"Maybe," he said putting it away.

"Come on, I wanna go," I whined.

"Alright, I'm coming," he said getting up. I quickly kissed his cheek as he walked past me and he turned around to face me with a confused look but a smirk on his face.

"Did you just kiss me?" He quoted me.

"Maybe," I quoted back. He chuckled and walked out with me.

We got to his house quickly. I walked in ahead of him and flopped on his couch.

"You have a habit f making yourself at home," Wes commented.
