Chapter Nine - Chilling
Chloe's POV
I woke up late, Lynn was already gone and Wes was sitting on his phone. I stretched and yawned, making him look up.
"Morning," he said.
"Morning," I said. "Where is everyone?"
"Teaching Lynn how to surf," he said.
"Oh, I'm to tired to surf right now," I said sleepily.
"Are you too tired to come back to my place for more X Factor stories?" Eh asked smirking, putting his phone away.
"Nope, I'll be ready in a few," I said jumping out of bed.
"Sweet, meet you downstairs," he said walking out.
I brushed through my hair with out showering, I took one yesterday and I didn't smell too bad. Just in case I put in extra deodorant and perfume. I put on a loose faded grey tank top, black leggings, my grey Vans my usual makeup. I put my hair in a side fishtail braid and grabbed my phone before meeting Wes in the kitchen.
"Ready?" He asked me.
"Yeah. I feel like being comfy and lazy today, I have no idea why," I thought out loud.
"You look cute," Wes said smiling.
"I always look cute," I joked.
"Touché," he said. I laughed we walked out to his car. He started it and started driving to his house I followed him in and jumped onto the couch, sitting cross legged and facing him.
"So what song did I sing last time?" Wes said sitting in front of me with his guitar.
"Sunset blvd," I said excitedly.
"Oh right, so Iris is next," he said smirking. He started strumming the guitar.
And I'd give up forever to touch you
'Cause I know that you feel me somehow
When sooner or later it's over
I just don't wanna miss you tonight
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
Oh please know, oh please know, oh please know, who I am
Who I am
"That was awesome," I said smiling.
"Thanks. We sang that for our second performance. Demi really liked it," he said.
"I can't imagine why," I joked.
"Probably because I was in it," he said dramatically.
"Psh, ok whatever you say," I joked again.
"Babe, you've-"
"I'm not your babe," I said crossing my arms.
"Not right now your not," he said reaching over and twisting my braid between his fingers.
"What's that supposed to mean? You don't think I might find somebody else and fall madly in love?" I joked.
"You're new here so I'll cut you some slack, but I run this town. I need have competition and if I do, I always win," he said smirking.
"Oh really?" I asked unimpressed.
"Really," he concluded
"You just admitted you like me," I said triumphantly. He blinked a few time before opening his mouth to say something and then closing it again. I laughed and he blushed.
"So just say it now, you like me," I said still smiling.
"I'm not saying it until you say it," he said smirking back.
"What are you talking about?"
"You like me too, you want me to get to know you better, you want to get to know me, admit it," he said dropping his voice down low.
"I've only known you for a few days Wes," I said closing my eyes.
"That doesn't change anything," he said. I felt the couch move. I opened my eyes and saw that Wes out his guitar down and scooted closer to me.
"You can't like someone you just met," I said simply.
"I can, so can you," he said smirking again.
"Now you just sound desperate," I joked causing both of us to laugh.
"How could it possible be obvious that I like you anyways?" I asked confused.
"You just admitted you like me," he said smirking. I shot my eyes open and felt my cheeks get red. He laughed.
"I never said that," I said.
"Babe, I'm Wesley Stromberg. I like you, you like me, you will give me a chance," he said still smirking.
"I might, Austin won't," I mumbled.
"What?" He asked frowning.
"Even if I decided to give you a chance there would be no way around Austin. He wouldn't allow it, he's a road block," I said.
"How come everyone I mention us you you bring up Austin?" He asked me.
"There is no us. And Austin would never allow us to date."
"Says who?" He asked. I'm not sure f he was saying that to the first thing I said or the second. A silence overcame us until Wes phone rang.
"Hello?... yeah were at my place... sure... ok bye," he said hanging up. "We're going back to Austin's for a movie night."
"Sweet," I said standing up. I followed him out of his house and he drive back to Austin's. When we got there we went into the living room and started watching Frozen and eating popcorn with everyone else. Then everyone spent the night here.
