Chapter Twenty-One - Taken Away

Chloe's POV

Wake up, wake up, wake up sleeping beauty

Open your eyes

Open your eyes

I groaned quietly and rolled over so I was facing Wes. I felt his body shake slightly as he chuckled at me.

"Wake up," he whispered.

"I am awake," I whispered back.

"Good," he said smiling. I rolled my Wes at him.

"Why did you want me to wake up?" I asked rubbing my eyes.

"I want you to make pancakes," he said pulling me closer.

"Make your own pancakes," I groaned again.

"I, uh, already tried that," he said blushing slightly. I looked up at him before bursting out laughing.

"What happened?"

"I burned them."

"Alright, I'll make you pancakes," I said with a yawn.

"Sweet," he said picking me up off the bed. He carried me downstairs and set me down in front of the stove. There was a pan with a single, black pancake in it.

"How many did you make?" I asked laughing again.

"Stop laughing at me!" He whined blushing hard.

"Alright, alright, I'll just use the leftover batter," I said reaching for the bowl of batter.

"What do I help with?" Wes asked jumping up and sitting on the counter.

"Just... sit there," I teased pouring a little batter into the pan. I saw Wes scowl out of the corner of my eye. He jumped back down and came behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my neck.

"Cut it out," I said shrugging him off but laughing.

"But why," he whined, doing it again.

"Because these are gonna burn too if you don't," I said turning around and waving the spatula at him, only receiving a smirk from him.

"Eh, who cares about the pancakes," he said walking closer to me.

"Back off, I'm cooking," I said smacking his chest. He frowned and rubbed his chest fakingly and I turned back around to flip the pancake.

"Wes!" I called to him a few minutes later.

"Yeah?"

"You wanna eat or not?" I said waving the pancakes in front of his face.

"Stop it," he groaned, grabbing them out of my hand. I laughed and sat down next to him with my plate.

"What are you watching?"

"Ridiculousness," he said with a mouth full.

"Oh I love that show! Rob Dyrdek is hilarious," I said laughing.

"You know him?"

"Duh," I said dramatically.

"Sor-ry princess," Wes said.

"Fuck you," I said slapping his arm. Suddenly someone knocked on the front door. Wes and I exchanged looks before I stood up. He grabbed my arm before I could walk to the door.

"I got it," he said standing up.

"No, I got it," I said prying off his arm. I kissed his cheek before walking and opening the front door.

"Let's go," Austin said grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the house.

"Austin, what are you doing?" I said trying to pull back.

"Takin you back home, let's go," he said pulling me harder.

"You can't make me come home!" I said trying to get his hand off my arm.

"Yes I can, now come on," he sad pulling down the driveway. I couldn't fight him off so I did the next thing that came to my mind.

"Wes!" I screamed. He ran out in a second and tried to wrap his arms around my whole body and pull me back. Austin switched us so he was facing Wes and I was behind him and pushed me back a little too hard, making me fall down.

"Austin!" I heard Wes say harshly and push past him to get to me. He helped me up and turned back around to face Austin. I stood in front of Wes before either of them could do anything.

"What are you doing?" Austin hissed.

"Making sure you don't hurt him," I spat back. He glowered at me before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder.

"What the hell are you doing?" I asked him.

"Taking you home," he said simply.

"Put me down!" I yelled, hitting his back with my fist.

"No," he said calmly. He put me back down but instead of on the ground I ended up in the passenger seat of his at.

"Stop it!" I yelled at him again as he tried to close the door.

"No," he said again. Somehow g me in and slammed the door shut. When he went around the car I saw Wes come back over to the car window. He bent down and wiped his thumb across my cheek, which was when I realized I was crying.

"Don't cry over me," Wes said half sarcastically.

"Still an arrogant, cocky, big ego jackass, aren't you," I joked back. He chuckled.

"You know me too well," he said smirking.

"I'll see you sometime soon?" I asked hopeful.

"Nope," Austin said next to me. I looked down and bit my lip.

"You're not gonna miss me that much," Wes said smiling softly.

"Yes I am," I said quietly. He lifted my chin up and kissed my lips softly. As stayed there frozen together until Austin honked the horn. Wes jumped and hit his head on the top of the car. He rubbed it in pain.

"Could you just fuck off, please?" I said to Austin.

"Sorry, I'm on a right schedule," he said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes and turned back to Wes.

"Goodbye...?" I said in a questioning tone.

"I guess," he said sadly.

"Bye," I whispered. He kissed my forehead before mumbling 'bye' against my skin. As soon as he leaned away Austin rolled up the window and started driving back down the road.

A/N

So who else hates Austin right now? I know I would. It'll all make sense a little later in the book. Sorry if it's really depressing and all right now but just be patient, please. Xoxo
