Chapter Ten - Shopping

Chloe's POV

I woke up with Lynn sleeping next to me ad Wes sleeping on the pullout couch again. I decided to just jump on the shower now and get ready for the day. I took a quick shower and got out, blow drying my hair and then straightening it. I walked out in my pjs and found Lynn and Wes awake.

"Hey," I said jumping on my bed.

"We're going shopping today, all of us girls, except for Kora. She's spending the day with Tyler since it's his birthday," Lynn said.

"Cool, I'll get dressed," I said walking to my closet. I changed into black leggings, a green muscle tank that said 'SAND & SURF' with a black bandeau underneath, a black Yums SnapBack and my matching green Vans. I walked out and found Lynn wearing a dress.

"Holy shit, when did we become polar opposites?" She joked.

"Hey, don't judge me. I hate dresses," I said pushing her shoulder lightly.

"Yeah, I know you do," she said.

We grabbed our money and phones and sat on the bed, staring at Wes and waiting for him to look up from his phone. He did after a few minutes and gave us a funny look. Lynn and I laughed before saying bye and walking downstairs.

We met up with Hailey and Maria in the kitchen. We all got into Maria's car and she drove to the mall. We stopped at a Starbucks on the way and ate breakfast. Then Maria drove us to the mall and we started at American Eagle.

After American Eagle we went to a bunch of other stores. Eventually we ended up in Victorias Secret. I was going through sweatpants with Hailey next to me and Lynn across from me.

"So Chloe," Maria started.

"Yes..." I sad skeptically.

"You and Wes eh?" He said smirking. Hailey and Lynn held back laughs.

"What?!" I asked shocked.

"You heard me," she said giving me her full attention.

"We aren't dating," I clarified.

"That's what they all say," Lynn and Hailey said at the same time. I glared at them.

"Oh come on, you two were flirting so much with each other yesterday," Maria said smirking still.

"Whatever," I mumbled.

"We know you like him," Hailey commented.

"You can't like someone you haven't even known for a week," I said.

"Sure you can. There's not much to know about Wes and you both seem to like what you know about each other so far," Maria said winking. I rolled my eye but felt my cheeks heat up.

"Well yeah I like him," I started and they all smirked. "But not in that way. I like him as a friend."

"We know he likes you too," Hailey said ignoring my negativity.

"Oh, I'm well aware of that," I said.

"How? Does he flirt with you? Does he hit on you?" Lynn said interested.

"He was yesterday, we started talking about 'us'-" I put quotations in the air- "but I told him that it wouldn't work because of Austin." I looked at them seriously but they were all just smirking.

"So your playing hard to get?" Hailey asked.

"I am not!" I said slapping her arm lightly. They all laughed.

"Whether you think so or not I'm pretty sure your playing hard to get," Maria said. I groaned loudly and walked to the other side of the rack.

"Even if you think otherwise, you and Wes would be a cute couple. You're always with each other and you're always talking about each other, well at least Wes is," Maria said.

"And even if we do get together sometime it would never work out. I would move back to Florida and he would go on that your in August," I backfired.

"What tour?" Lynn asked.

"I'll tell you later," I said.

"You guys can't do that long distance relationship shit?" Maria said.

"We're not even dating yet-"

"YET!!" They all cut me off.

"And there's still the problem with Austin. He would never allow me to date his best friend."

"Who said Austin has to know?" Maria said from the other side of the rack. I looked at her like she was crazy.

"Are you seriously saying that I should sneak around my brothers back dating his best friend?" I asked shocked.

"Yeah," Maria said smirking.

"That's actually not a bad idea," Lynn said.

"I'm not lying to my brother," I said.

"You're not lying if he never asks about it," Hailey said.

"You guys are crazy," I said.

"Or maybe you're crazy for not agreeing with us," Maria said. I was about to say something until she cut me off.

"Listen, you and Wes start dating without Austin knowing. If it works out, which I'm positive it will, then just tell him one day later that you like him and he likes you and you wanna date, blah blah blah. If it doesn't work out, even though it will, then just act like nothing happened and Austin doesn't have to know," she said smirking with Hailey and Lynn. I chuckled and shook my head.

"It's not a bad plan..." I admitted.

"So you'll try it?" Maria asked happily.

"Nope," I said sarcastically, popping the P. Thy glared at me and Lynn smacked my are and I laughed. "Maybe one day..."

"You better make that day soon Chloe, you're only here for two months," Lynn said walking to the shirts.

"A lot can happen in two months," I said turning around and going back by a bunch of skateboard decks they had hanging on the wall. Some of them were nice but most of them were cheap.

The sound of the girls' laughter came across the room, so they must be talking together about something. Probably about an evil plan to make me fall head over heels for Wes. Or setting up a secret date. Oh, they better not be.

Suddenly I feel the presence of a person standing behind me. Before I can turn around to see who it is a par of hands rest on my hips and a chin rests on my shoulder. I smile and turn around to face Wes. He's the only one oh would do that.

"Hey," I said happily.

"Hey," he said smiling. Then it turned into a smirk. "I heard what you and the girls were talking about."

"Oh so you were eavesdropping on us?" I ask smirking, not even bothered by it.

"Maybe," he admitted chuckling. He paused before talking again. "I like Maria's idea."

"I thought you would," I teased him. He rolled his eyes but was still smirking.

"Not now, but keep trying Wes. Maybe someday," I said walking away from him. I walked back to the girls and they looked at me with huge grins on their faces.

"What was that all about?" Hailey asked creepily.

"Nothing, let's go," I said sticking my chin out. They rolled their eyes and I laughed. We went into the next store and continues shopping.
