Chapter Two - Wesley and Marie
Chloe's POV
I walked up the stairs and down the hall, dragging my suitcase behind me. There were two doors on the right and two on the left. The first one on the left was a bathroom, the others were bedrooms. I walked to the last door on the left and twisted the knob, pushing it open.
I was definitely not expecting what I saw when I first walked in my room.
There was a mirror facing the ocean, yes. But the bed was occupied. There was some shirtless guy sleeping face down in the bed. I dropped my suitcase and ran back downstairs. Austin came in with my bags.
"There's someone in the bed," I said skeptically.
"Oh that's probably Wes. I had a party last night and he always goes all out. He's insane," he said pulling my bags up the stairs. I followed him and took my aviators off, hanging them from the top of my shirt. When we got to the door he walked in and started shaking the person in the bed violently.
"Dude, get up!" He said loudly. The sleeping person groaned and pushed Austin away. Austin laughed and the sleeping person sat upright in the bed.
"I'm guessing you crashed here?" Austin asked.
"Yeah man, everyone left with somebody and I didn't get anyone so in like 'what the fuck, I get a bed'," the sleeping person said in a really attractive voice. I still haven't seen his face but he had brown hair and his biceps were huuuuge.
"Well, since she's right there, Wes meet my sister Chloe, Chloe meet my crazy friend Wes," he said pointing to me. The person in the bed turned around to look at me. He had chocolate brown eyes, a perfect smile and what seemed like sculpture carved features.
"So you're the sister he's been talking about," he said smirking. I laughed at Austin's face.
"You two have a lot in common actually," Austin said.
"Like what?" I asked. Then Austin got a text.
"Oh shoot, there's this school thing that I have to work on. Apparently it's due in a few days and me and Zach haven't even started, whoops," he said putting his phone back in his pocket.
"Well, you two make friends I'll be back a little later," he said walking out.
"Wha-" I started but he had already closed the front door and was driving away.
"So, let's make a friendship," the sleeping person said patting a spot next to him. I sighed and sat down.
"Ok, my names Chloe Shore, I live in Miami, Florida, I'm a pro skateboarder and part time surfer, I have a little brother and an older brother, my mom and my stepdad are married and live on a small house on the beach and my best friends are Luke and his sister Layla, Luke is 19 and Layla is my age," I said breathing at the end.
"How old are you?" He asked studying my face.
"17..." I said wearily. He smirked and looked down. "What?"
"Nothing. Austin said we have something in common," he said almost as a question.
"Yeah... what do you do?"
"Well, my name is Wesley Stromberg, I'm in a band with my younger brother and my older friend, we were on the X Factor and got into the final four but then got beat my Carly Rose, umm... oh yeah, and we all skateboard and surf," he said. A smile grew on my face slowly before I laughed a little. "What?"
"You skateboard?" I asked, looking at him.
"Yeah, I do," he sad frowning. I reached down under the nightstand and picked up a skateboarding magazine with me on the cover in my matching teal helmet, elbow and knee pads set I got from a fan.
"I skateboard," I corrected him.
"That's you?" He asked taking it from my hands. I nodded.
"I'm a full time pro skateboarder in Miami and a part time surfer," I said smiling.
"Wow," he said acting impressed.
"So... how crazy was that party last night?" I said disapprovingly.
"Don't make this," -he said motioning around him- "be your first impression of me. I'm not all party," he said winning at me.
"Oh really?" I said looking him up and down, noticing an almost perfectly chiseled 6 pack on his torso.
"Yeah really," he said smirking. He was about to say something when my phone went off. I pulled it out and saw that Austin texted me.
Austin - Tell Wes to leave, I don't trust him around you. It's not you, it's him... No offense to him.
I laughed and showed Wesley the text. He scowled.
"Man, I guess I'm getting kicked out," he said standing and stretching. I looked away from him to keep from staring.
"Do you have a shirt?" I said disapprovingly.
"Yeah it should be right over here," he sad walking to the other side of the bed. I rolled my eyes and he laughed. He put in a tank top, grabbed a SnapBack and his phone and started walking out the door behind me. I stopped by the door and turned around.
"Austin and I were going to go surfing tomorrow, he's bringing Marie. I'm guessing he already told you-"
"No he didn't. I'll come though," I said cutting him off. He fought back a smirk.
"And it's not as in a date," I clarified.
"Yeah yeah, I get it. See you tomorrow," he said walking past me. I closed the door behind him and walked back up to my room.
I plugged in my iPhone Dock and played music while I started to unpack my bags. By the time I was done, almost two hours later, Austin came home.
"Chlo?!" He called from downstairs.
"Yeah?!"
"I want you to meet someone!"
I smiled to myself already knowing who it was. I raced downstairs and found a girl with curled blonde hair and bright green eyes.
"Chloe, Marie. Marie, Chloe. Oh yeah, Marie's my girlfriend," Austin commented.
"I know, you wouldn't stop talking about her on the phone," I said rolling my eyes. He blushed and Marie laughed.
"You sound like mom, always embarrassing me," Austin grumbled. I laughed with Marie this time.
We watched tv together for the rest of the day. Austin and Marie were adorable, cuddling and shit. Around 9:00 Marie went back home. Austin came back from the front door with a dorky smile in his face.
"You look like you're in love," I commented laughing.
"I think I am," he admitted blushing.
"Aweeeee!" I said jumping up and tackling him.
"Agh, get off me!" He said pushing me to the floor. I laughed even though I but it hard.
I went to bed shortly after that, smiling. Austin was the one person, besides Luke, that I really connected with. I was always there for Jacob because he was my little brother and he needed me. I was very connected to my dad unlike disappeared. Now, I have my et friend, my brother and my little brother in my life.

Haha, Wesley's a party animal. I feel bad for him though because that wasn't a very good first impression for a guy to a girl. Anyways, in the next chapter I think I'm going to have her meet Keaton and Drew, along with their girlfriends Lynn and Hailey. Hehe, SURFS UP!!!!! Alright, bye lovelies xoxo
