Chapter Seventeen - Gig

Chloe's POV

I looked in the mirror to check if I looked alright. For the boys' concert tonight I was wearing high waisted, light wash jeans short shorts that I put rips in, a black, tight crop top that had daisies in it, my yellow Doc Martins and a yellow flower headband that I wore across my forehead.

It was 9:58 and I was positive Austin was asleep since he had to go to work early tomorrow morning. I grabbed my phone and slipped it into my back pocket with a 20 dollar bill. I put on a charm bracelet I got for my 16th birthday from Luke and texted Wes.

To Wes The Best - Austin's asleep, come kidnap me ;)

It wet from delivered to read in a second and he responded immediately.

Wes The Best - On my way, be quiet ;)

I laughed quietly at his text and waited by my window. I saw the headlights of his car pull up and opened my window, sliding out onto the roof. He got out of the car and ran to under the roof.

"Jump," he whispered.

"No way!" I whispered back.

"Just do it, I'll catch you," he whispered smirking.

"I don't trust you," I teased, walking to the side of the roof where the chimney went down and there were grooves in between the bricks. I started climbing down and landed in front of Wes.

"I would've caught you," he assured me.

"Sure," I joked. He scowled at me and I laughed. Suddenly I saw the light from the bathroom flood through the window.

"Come on!" Wes whisper-yelled, grabbing my hand an pulling me to the car. We jumped in and he sped off.

"Austin didn't ask anything about this?" He asked when we got out of the city.

"No, I thought he didn't know," I said.

"He doesn't, just making sure," he said reaching over to hold my hand. I slapped his hand away jokingly. "Ah! Rejected!" He started laughing at himself and I looked at him like he was crazy, which he is.

"I'm gonna have to put up with you for an hour," I groaned teasingly.

"Whatever, I'm awesome," he said.

"You have such a big ego," I said making us both laugh. He turned on the radio and started singing along to the song.

"Do you know any of our songs?" He asked out of the blue.

"No, just the X Factor songs. Keaton told me once that you have a single out though and your working on an album," I said shrugging. He smirked and pulled out his phone. I snatched it away from him.

"No texting and driving. I plan on living for a little while longer. What do you want me to type," I demanded. He gave me a weird look before responding.

"Go on YouTube, search curious by Emblem3," he said smirking again.

"Ok, do you have a speaker plug in?"

"A what?"

"You know, a chord that plug junto your phone so you can play your music from your phone through the speakers of the car," I said. He looked at me dumbly. I sighed.

"I'll just turn it up all the way," I said playing the video.

"The single we have out is a surprise, you'll hear it tonight," Wes said as it started playing.
