Chapter 21: First Summon

"I've never done this, witty cat." para na 'kong tangang nakikipag-usap sa pusa na'to. Zero was staring at me weirdly. People outside looked confused. Well, just so they know, I am confused too.

"Just put your magic power in it and cast your command— but make sure you don't exhaust yourself too much."

I frowned and faced Zero. Bahala na. I don't want to lose anyways. Not to him.

"Now!" I ordered in my mind. Kira's collar— which is the key holder— lit up. Natanggal ng kusa yung lock nito at lumutang papalapit sa akin. I don't know why but I snapped my finger as if I knew that the keys were going to listen to me. I was right, The keys started floating in front of me, aligned in order. Then, a key caught my attention. It was an old-ish style key with a Lion and a pentagon on it. 

The first key that Astraea made.

I quickly grabbed it and waved my other hand causing the rest of the keys to go back on Kira's collar.

Is it just me or the other keys went smaller?

I stared at the key I'm holding right now. It was bigger than the others.

"Are we going to fight or you'll just stare at that key while I'm staring at you?" said the other one monster inside this barrier. I secretly rolled my eyes as I raised my right arm sideways. The key glowed and that's when the light on Zero's hand slowly changed into a blood-red color. Even his glutted aura changed its color. Red smokes started appearing around him. 

Power of the Poison Emission. 

Damn it. Doesn't he know the word 'holding back'? 

Okay, I'm really lucky that he hasn't unlocked the level of combining his two magics. If he will ever learn it, god forsaken me, I will never dare to get his dander up.

I started putting my energy into the key. This caused my purple aura to shimmer around me. Circling me with glittering excess emanation. As if it was natural, I couldn't help but to love the feeling.

"Astraea, Astraea, maiden of the stars. I, the chosen disciple, is asking you to accord me the power of thy sacred keys," I chanted and then a small whirlpool that looks almost the same as a black hole started forming beside the key. I'm betting that, it's a sign that the portal between two worlds are opening.

The world of the constellations.

The feeling that I'm feeling right now is so strange. I could feel that my power was being transferred into the key, "I call upon thee, Gate of the Sky Lion, Leo. Evince thyself." I said calmly but with authority, well at least that's what I thought I sounded like.

After a huge flash of light invaded the area, a guy with a formal suit came out of nowhere. His blue glasses hides his steady stolid eyes. He kneeled down before me and started talking.

"Mistress, as the first constellation you have ever summoned, I ask you this politely, as one of your guardians, how do you prefer to use our power that was fueled with yours at most times?"

Panting, I answered him in my mind

'Mostly, apply it to me for both offense and defense' 

He responded with a simple nod and disappeared into thin air. Right after he disappeared, I felt a surging energy in me. Weird but it was different whenever I'm using my invisibility or super strength.

So this is the power of the lion constellation?

My hand glowed as I close my fist. It was like Zero's, but I know he still has the original energy manipulation. I went back to my fighting stance and motioned him to come. He tried to suppress his grin but failed.
