Chapter 10: The Arrival

Sienna Astra's POV

Five hours have passed. Sa bawat madadaanan namin, mga punong matataas ang makikita mo. Sa unang tingin mo sa mga ito, aakalain mong normal lang sila. But if you stare at it a little longer and closer, you'll feel that anytime gagalaw sila. They call it, The Guard Tree.

"Students, we are now entering the Lux mountain's vicinity. Ten more minutes until we reach our base camp destination." A voice calmly said. It was coming from the magic speaker inside our transportation. It must be our trip officer, Ms. Creason.

Dahil sa announcement nagising ang mga kasama kong himbing na natutulog.

Habang tumatagal mas lalong nagiging magical ang paligid. I know, I know. Nasa magic world ako, but sometimes even if you live in it, you can't deny the fact na one way or another mamamangha ka parin sa isang bagay na gawa ng mahika. 

Later on, A group of trees caught my attention. It has golden leaves and colorful trunks. I have never seen this kind of tree. Never in my entire life.

"It's pretty." I mumbled, enough for everyone to hear.

"Yes, it is pretty," Cretania agreed, "To tell you a cool fact, these trees are also powerful." She added.

"Powerful?" I asked. I get completely clueless with these magical stuffs since I used to stay home, a lot.

"That—is the Lux Tree. A tree that can regenerate magic ethernanos inside your body." Zero explained. I looked at him and a thought popped out of my head. Like his magic. Zero could regenerate enough ethernano by sucking the energy from something or if he ever levels himself up, he can even absorb some energy from a person.

"However, only with a strong and pure intention can use it." Cretania added without looking at me. 

"I know you're thinking na may similarities ang power ni Zero at ng puno na yan." Luke randomly said. His face was marked with a familiar grin.

"Sadly, yes." I sarcastically answered. Zero grinned as if he was thinking about something crazy. My forehead creased as I looked at him questionably. What was he thinking?

He shook his head and faced the front. I secretly rolled my eyes.

"Zero's mom was sick when she was pregnant to him," Cress started. I looked at her and suddenly felt the urge to listen. I'm interested. I wonder why? "As a pregnant lady, her body was too fragile for any type of medicines or even herbs." she added. 

"But when a mysterious healer came just to see the condition of the Duchess..." 

Wait! 

Hold up

DUCHESS?

So freaking Zero is a freaking, freaking prince? or something like that?

A darn royalty of some sort?

My eyes widened as the mind blowing thought crossed my mind.

Was I messing with a royalty all along?

Before I could even react about the 'Duchess part' they continued the story.

"She said that, one drop of a certain magical leaf can cure the unknown illness of the Duchess." I shrugged the 'Duchess' part and listened to the story, "That's when the nobles and the merchants came to search for the Lux tree, for the sake of the reward that the Duke of Alexan was willing to give." She added.
