Chapter 19: New Fighting Experience

Sienna Astra's POV

Eyes were on me. Everybody was looking at me. My heart skipped a beat for a moment. 

Mother? 

My mom was the 3rd holder of Kira, together with the 9 sacred keys? But—how? I'd never seen her use it. Never in my life. I didn't even see this cat inside our house, nor around our residence. It was a private trainer who taught us magic and defense, not them. I knew my mom was a beast whenever she weilds a sword or any other type of weapon, and dad was good when it comes to spells and curses. Sometimes I wonder, who was granny's real child? mom or dad? I dunno why but the sudden thought made me chuckle. Even if I know their special skills, they never showed me their magic and capabilities.

Oh gods and goddesses, I miss them.

A snap from Zero brought be back to the reality.

Everyone is now listening to Mr. Thayer. I shook my head and looked at my cat. My gaze landed on the keys then Zero. He's now sleeping—well, that's not new. Papasok lang naman ata sya para matulog.

Sa dami ng information na nasagap ko, I couldn't find the word 'focus' anymore. Time passed, hindi ko man lang namalayan na patapos na ang klase. Sir Thayer reminded us to go straight at the cafeteria to eat lunch. 

It was a good thing for me to eat first since I have HTH combat class later. More energy, high endurance. Pagdating ko sa cafeteria, dumeretso ako sa food counter to get some lasagna. 

Now this is life. 

Pagdating ko sa table, Zero was already there. Sleeping like a kid.

When he noticed my presence, he lifted his head and looked at me. "Why did you leave me? You should've woken me up." 

Messy hair, sleepy eyes, sleepy voice.

"Why should I? Do I look like an alarm clock to you?" pataray kong sagot. Nagulat ako ng bigla nyang nilapit ang mukha nya sa akin. I could feel my ears and cheeks turning red. Bullcrap Zero. "W-What?" oh geez, Sienna. Keep your crap together.

"I just realized, your eyes are like the galaxy. To be more precised, it looks like a purple milky way." Napatigil ako sa sinabi nya kaya naman kinuha ko agad ang salamin ko sa bag. Don't ask me why I have this. Ask Cressida. 

"W-what... What happened?" lumingon si Zero na ngayo'y iniinom ang chocolate milk ko. I glared at him. He gave it back to me when it was already half way done. Jerk.

Namula nanaman ako sa biglang pumasok sa isip ko.

"Just finish it. I—I won't drink that anymore." I said, while trying not to stammer. I slid it back to him and rolled my eyes. I saw him smirked. Tch.

He drank all it and threw it on the trash bin. 3 points for Zero Alexei.

"Probably, it's some type of component of being a star sorceress." He randomly said. Kumunot naman ang noo ko sa sinabi nya. "Your eyes." he added. Napa 'ahh' naman ako. That actually made sense, but why? I love my original eye color. Just a plain chocolate brown eyes. Sadly, it's the goddess' wish so I won't complain furthermore. My eye color now is still brown-ish pero may reflecting purple sa paligid na parang 'di na brown. Kung titignan mo ng mabuti, parang makikita mo yung galaxy mismo sa mata ko. 

"Hey, sorry we're kinda late." nagsidatingan na mga kasama ko, including the annoying wolf.

"What's with people today being late?" I asked out of nowhere. They all laughed because of what I said. Cress started talking and explaining why they were late. And like in as usual day, Arvi wouldn't stop bothering me.

"Every kick, you breath out. That's the trick that will help you release more force." Ms. Mira instructed me. I kicked the punching bag once again. To tell you a fact, this is not just a punching bag. It was made of magic that depends on someone's strength capability. It can help you surpass your limit. Right now, I have the second to the hardest level. Even with my ability, it felt like I'm trying to kick a giant since I'm not used to it yet. It also felt like the punching bag was blocking my whole force, "Switch!" she screamed.

I ran to the high ropes. I put on the belt that has weights hanging on it and started climbing. Imagine, climbing without any safety gears but a 50 pounds weight. It's kinda unfair because for other students, they're only required to put 10-15 pounds. Sucks for me and blame my very own ability. I really need to learn how to control this.

"And... Done!! Excellent job! Now, proceed at the center part of the field. It's combat time!" Micro yelled, causing everyone to stop and exhaustively gathered around the center field. As soon as I got there, the twins with their familiars accompanied me. Luke and Zero was on the other side. Nakapaikot kaming buong klase at nasa gitna naman ang dalawang guro. Mira and Micro smiled and looked at us. "Today is a special combat day."

"And it's between two special students!" Ms. Mira said. Students started cheering.

"Who is it? And what team did they come from?!" said a student, I'm guessing one of the sophomores. Mira smiled sweetly. I saw Cret smirked. Uh, I guess the latter knows or at-least have an idea what her aunt was thinking.

"It's between two of the five Generals," Micro said, making my heart thumped. Oh no, should I get excited or get nervous?

No wonder why Cret's smile was so suspicious. 

Students' cheer went louder. Mira raised her hand causing for the crowd to go silent.

"Let's get this over with." aniya. I exhaled heavily.

It's going to be between 2 from the five of us.

Who?

4 of them is powerful enough to end this sparring with a tied score. Don't include me because my ability is not fit for this.

"Junior class, Sienna Serena, at the center!"

What? Wait ano daw? Nahihibang ka na ba prof?

Sure ka bang hindi Cretania or Cressida nakalagay dyan?

Uh, okay I don't really know what to feel. Am I nervous or excited?

Naglakad ako sa gitna at tumingin sa paligid. "Your opponent will be...." pa-intense pa 'to si sir. Akala ko ba 'let's get this over with'?

Please be Cret or Luke. Cress is just too sweet and cheerful for her own good I don't think I'll be able to hurt her. Zero is uh...

I've never fought or had a practice match with him, so I'm not prepared and plus, every special combat time, you're allowed to use your ability in any circumstances as long as you're still fighting with your physical strength. It's like putting fire on your fist.

Cret and I once fought, a training I must say. Luke? Well, remember my first day? I pretty much know how he usually fights.

"Alright! Sienna Serena VS Zero Hayes!!"

WHAAAAAAAT?

Oh, shit's about to go down.
