I pinched my lips to stop my silver smile
from falling
at your feet.
you smiled so bright
like the white
fat
moon
and I played with my eyes
and sat on my joy
bursting it
with needles of pleasure
the wooden chair not spacious
enough
to occupy my joy and
me.
it made me restless
and I fidgeted like
a worm had sneaked in
and kept licking at the nervousness
curbing inside.
I swallowed my fear
and I stared at my hands
I heard your laughter
while I fiddled with my hanky
I heard your gazing
but I rocked my feet
I heard your smile
like you knew my secret
and I pinched my lips
turned my head
to stop my smile
from
reaching
your
eyes...
