Oh Brother
Oh Brother of mine
If only you'd listen
You dedicated yourself
To the one above
But send us all
To hell below
You forget that path
You've been set upon
Was a gift given you
By those you tread on
Take that plank from your eye
See the Samaritans
That refuse,
To pass you by
Let the weeds grow up with the wheat
And your life could become oh so sweet.
For your family only wishes to love you
You are the prodigal son
You hurt and maim
In God's name
Leaving them forever altered
Fearful to reach out again.
Your family you do not choose
You have so much to loose
Still they hold on to hope
They still grope
"Love me, as I love you," they plead.
To which you respond with, "Nope."
I pray before it's too late
And you're left up to fate
God shows you the mercy
You did not show
I hope on that fateful day
When God decides where we go
And He asks,
"Have you loved them as I have loved you?"
You have something to say.
