BROTHER 

Hello brother, I wish you had been around to share a life with. To do all those things kids do growing up, the united front when parents were laying down the law or to share the joy of a family vacations and celebrations. I missed all that rivalry, the opportunity to compete over all the silly things kids find important to defend .

And growing up having my back covered no matter what the problem or decision encountered. A voice I could sound out ideas with, or dreams and aspirations that needed a second opinion. As adults, someone to stand by me on the biggest decision of my life, a best man who believed when I said, 'I do' and then an uncle to enjoy the pleasure of that station with an honest enthusiasm looking out for family. I missed it all and I have thought about it my entire life.

I would have loved a brother . . . but I was an only child.
