Chapter 15: The Chunin Exam (6)

-Yukina POV-

I was sitting on a random rooftop with Kakashi when a person appeared behind me. "How were they?" I asked without turning back.

The person sighed. "Although we went through the trouble of setting up a special preliminary exam.. All nine rookies passed." Then the person transformed back to Iruka. "It seems like their skills are growing, just like you said."

"But the real Chunin Exam isn't going to be that easy." I replied Iruka, and turned to look at him. "And Iruka-san.. I'm sorry about Mizuki.."

He stiffened slightly at the mention of Mizuki's name. "It's okay. He got what he deserved anyway.."

I got up and hugged him. "Kakashi, let's go. Today's their last day of training before the first round of the exams, and I think the kids will kill us if we're late. We're meeting all three of them together too." I let go of Iruka and waved a goodbye. Then I chose to go to the training grounds via the rooftop, and Kakashi followed without saying anything. "You jealous?" I stopped and asked him.

"I would be lying if I said 'no', but I know that you're mine, love, and nothing else is more important than that." Kakashi stared at me while he said, and I blushed. Kakashi can be surprisingly romantic at times. "Let's go now, we're already late." He then held my hand as we went to the training ground.

To our surprise, the trio arrived after us. "Wow. It's rare that all three of you are later than us. Now it's your turn to give us reasons." I raised an eyebrow and asked them.

"Me first! I met an asshole who kidnapped Moegi, and I went to rescue her!" Naruto raised his hand and answered. I stifled a giggle at his reference of 'asshole'. How would Iruka feel if he heard this?

"Me next. There's this guy who transformed into Sasuke-kun and asked me out. I know that Sasuke-kun would never do that, but I followed the person out of curiousity. Another person appeared and killed Sasuke-kun, then he then told me to quit the Chunin Exam, and the worst part is that the both of them are illusions! Shānnarō!" Sakura looked livid at the last sentence, and I choked back my laughter. Oh dear, Outer Sakura and Inner Sakura are beginning to combine together. Naruto's going to have a hard time now.. Sakura then covered her mouth, looking embarrassed.

"I got attacked by a ninja." Sasuke said, and kicked the ground, looking pissed off. I then raised an eyebrow and looked at Kakashi, and he nodded.

"Well then, congratulations on passing the preliminary exam, all three of you." I smiled and said to them, and all three of them looked shocked. "And the person who tested the Rookie Nine is Iruka-san." I dropped the bomb, and laughed at Naruto's horrified expression.

"All nine rookies pass the preliminary test. Oh, and the test was because Iruka-san was worried about whether the nine of you are capable of taking part in the exam, don't sweat on it. You just need to focus on the exam tomorrow. Now, let's begin the training!"

-1st July, Sakura POV-

I sighed as I went to the Academy. I decided to take part in the Chunin Exam, because Sasuke-kun and Naruto will surely need a medical ninja with them, they get injured all the time. Okay, Sakura. There's no backing out now. Go for it! I gave myself a mental cheer as I arrived at the Academy. "Minna, ohayou! Sorry that I'm late! Let's go in now, shall we?" I waved at the two boys, and we went into the Academy. However, we got blocked from entering the room.

"Huh, you're trying to take the Chunin Exam with that kind of level?" "Maybe you should quit, kids." "You're still just kids." Two voices sounded. We went closer to take a look, and I saw a guy wearing a green jumpsuit on the ground, while a girl got hit by the one of the two people blocking the door.
