Jack ran towards the football that was spiraling towards him.

Jose was right next to him. The two were neck and neck.

Jack's teammates cheered him on, pushing back Jose's teammates.

'Common, Jack, run!'

Jack pushed himself farther, his feet aching. Jack had been running around the whole game, competing against Jose.

People cheered him on from the sidelines. Jack glanced to his left, catching one of his classmate's eyes.

It was Ann.

Where had she come from?

Why did she look so worried?

"The ball!" Ann yelled at him.

Jack looked forward to see Jose advancing ahead of him.

Dang it, Jack!

Jack just couldn't get any faster! But he had to!

Jack's feet suddenly felt cold. Almost frozen. But it didn't bother him. It was strange, considering it was summer, in Florida (it was the second to last day of school).

And Jack, for whatever reason, was sliding foward with every step. Jack slid past Jose, and caught the football.

Jack continued to slid forward, and made the touchdown. His team pulled Jack forward to the locker room, cheering.

But Jack was confused.

A thought had appeared in Jack's mind.

"The second, the chills, the ice wall inside
Blond white hair, mischievous smiles, icy blue eyes
The fighter, always willing to protect the things he lives in life..."

What did that mean?

Jack looked into a mirror in the locker, and someone new was staring back at him. A warrior was staring back at Jack. The warrior had shaggy hair. Hair that was almost white. He was pale, with pale freckles. The warrior was passionate looking. And the warrior had icy blue eyes.

Jack walked out and onto the field, ready to go home and collapse on his bed.

But he found something that should be impossible.

Sophia, Kayla, and Ann were in the middle of the football field, looking at something on the ground. Ann was kneeling on the ground, her fingertips gliding across the grass, somehow.

What? How?

Jack walked towards the three of them, curios and perplexed.

"What are you guys looking at?" Jack asked them, standing over Ann.

Ann jumped, surprised. She was so finicky, it was weird.

"I-it's ice. Covering the grass." Ann said in a complexed voice. "Which is strange, considering it's summer in Florida. And the ice is hardly melted. It's just so weird. It like a scientific anomaly!"

Sophia seemed to be thinking about something.

There was a small crack, and for some reason, there was a small blue light by Ann's hand that quickly disappeared.

Sophia had noticed, too. She gasped, and ran away.

What was happening lately?

Jack just didn't know.
