Astrid sighed at Ann as she walked out of the hotel room.

"Hey!" Jack shouted out spontaneously, jumping up. "We should go to the pool!"

Kyle shrugged, and looked to Astrid for confirmation.

"Okay!" Astrid said, with a small, reassuring smile directed to Kyle. She grabbed her bathing suit went into the bathroom.

Kyle sighed through his bag to find his pair of  worn, old swim trunks that he had a feeling he would need on this trip. Even though Kyle doesn't swim that much... Kyle slipped into the bathroom after Astrid, trying not to stare.

Astrid was... Oooh something else.

She was maybe the most beautiful girls Kyle had ever seen. She was sassy and funny and she really was just perfect. Ann was continuously is dropping hints about Kyle and Astrid having a relationship in the future. He wondered if Ann knew about Kyle's affection for Astrid. Probably. That girl was sneaky. She seemed to notice everything except her electricity with Jack (a/n get it? Ann's electricity with Jack! Oh, I'm hilarious!)

Kyle stepped out of the bathroom, feeling a bit self-conscious about his attire. Kyle was in his swimming trunks. Just his swimming trunks. Mm, this feels like a mistake.

Astrid gave Kyle a shy smile, folding her arms over her chest. Good lord. Kyle tried to contain himself. Jack stepped out of the bathroom, his eyes wide with realization. What?

The three walked out if their hotel room, and into the halls.

They passed by a couple vending machines, and heard a crunch. Kyle looked over to see Ann, sitting in the floor, in between the vending machines, eating chips and reading a thick book.

Jack looked at Kyle and Astrid. He looked at Ann. He looked back at Kyle and Astrid. He gave a smirk, and sat next to Ann, looking over her shoulder.

"What are you reading?" Jack asked, scanning the pages of Ann's book.

"Parry Hotter." Ann said, offering a chip.

"Mm," Astrid started while she walked with Kyle. "You know you're in when Ann starts offering her food. And Ann has offered both fries and chips to Jack. That means true love."

"Like us?" Kyle asked casually. He gave an innocent smile, noting Astrid's red face. He dropped it, but his heart pounded happily.

Kyle practically skipped to the pool, he was that pleased with Astrid's reaction.
