Astrid let her wings out, and flew after Ann. The two sat down on a nearby bench, and Astrid avoided the little sparks that jumping on Ann's arms.

"Sorry I yelled at your boyfriend." Ann said, letting out an angry huff.

"H-he's not my boyfriend!" Astrid stuttered, feeling her face heat up.

"Yet." Ann said, looking at Astrid with a smirk.

"T-that's not what we're supposed to be talking about!" Astrid protested. "You shouldn't have blown up like that! Kyle was just... Scared. I think we all were. I mean, this was the first time we've seen anything like that monster. You need to control your temper."

"Yeah, yeah I know." Ann said, burying her face in her hands. "I-I just... People bare getting hurt! Because Kyle is scared! And I won't let that happen! And, what if Kyle just leaves because he's scared. He must be beneficial to what we're doing here, and if he just leaves-"

"Oh Ann," Astrid said sympathetically. "I don't think Kyle is going to leave. Nobody will get hurt, either."

"Can you guarantee that?" And burst out, and looked up at Astrid. "Sorry. I'll apologize, don't worry about me. Let's get back." Ann stood up, and pulled up her hood. She looked up at Astrid, and offered a little smile. "You're a lucky one."

"How so?" Astrid asked, tilting her head as she flew a few feet above Ann.

"You don't have to walk." Ann said in a joking tone. "It looks easier than walking."

Astrid shrugged, and looked ahead, a smile on her face. "Probably because I'm such a natural at it!"

"Why is everyone so far away?" Ann asked rhetorically. "Why can't they let me be lazy, and walk over to me?"

Astrid laughed, and shook her head. There was a crackling sound, and Ann was suddenly very far away. "What just happened?" Astrid called out, speeding up to meet with Ann.

"Awe ****!" Ann said excitedly, looking at her hands that were sparking sporadically.

"What happened?" Astrid asked.

"Holy ****!" Ann cursed again, smiling excitedly.

"What happened?" Astrid asked again, laughing slightly at Ann's excitement.

"I think I teleported!" Ann exclaimed, looking up at the flying  teen. There was another crackle, and Ann was ahead. Astrid smiled, and flew up to Kyle, who was now in sight with the others. She flew down, and stood next to him.

"Hey," she said softly, setting a hand on his shoulder. He smiled down on her weakly. "You did fine."

"Where's Ann?" Emily asked, looking around.

"She should be hear very soon." Astrid said with a laugh.

"Boo!" Ann yelled, suddenly appearing behind Jack. Jack let out a scream, and stumbled away from her. Emily squealed in surprise, and Kyle gave a little jump. Sophia simply looked curious.

"Where did you come from?" Jack asked, panting and clutching his heart dramatically.

Ann grinned wryly, and teleported around the others.

"Hmm, teleportation, huh?" Sophia asked Ann, who was popping up at random places around the other five.

"**** yeah!" Ann yelled out loudly.

"Language." Sophia said, smiling lightly at Ann's unusually eccentric behavior. Ann popped up next to Kyle, and fell. Kyle caught her, not noticing Astrid's jealous look.

"Are you okay?" Jack asked, quickly walking up to Ann.

"I'm fine." Ann said, trying to push Kyle away. "Let go of me, Kyle, your girlfriend is over there. Go hold her." Ann stood shakily, and Jack immediately had her lean into him for support.

"What happened?" Emily asked in a worried voice.

"I feel woozy," Ann answered in a slightly scratchy voice. "And my throat hurts. Other than that, I'm pretty hyped."

"The teleportation most have used up a lot of your energy." Sophia said. "You probably won't be able to do that a lot, especially over long distances."

"Why not?" Ann asked. "What will happen if I do?"

"You'll most likely die." Sophia said gravely. "With all of your energy gone, nothing will be there to keep you alive."

Jack pulled Ann closer to him, an anxious look on his face. Ann rolled her eyes and loosened Jack's grip on her.

"Can we go get some food?" Ann asked, changing the subject. "I'm starving."

Sophia nodded, and the six kids walked to the van. Well, Jack insisted on carrying Ann. She protested, and would give him little shocks of electricity, but Jack wouldn't put her down until she was seated in the car.

"I'm not a child, Jack." Ann scowled when Jack tried to buckle her seatbelt for her.

"But, you might die if you use up too much of your energy!" Jack exclaimed.

"When I'm teleporting." Ann said, rolling her eyes. "I can still do basic, human things. Like buckling my own seatbelt."

Astrid watched the two, amused. Couldn't Ann see that Jack was just scared for her?

Ann leaned against the window, and closed her eyes. "Wake me up when we're getting the food."

Okay, I know. I haven't updated in a while. And I'm so sorry. I've had major writers block. I hope this sort of makes up for that.
