The two girls sat on Ann's bed, eating chips and swapping stories.
"It's so weird. The reflection... It looked like me, but cooler. Tougher." Ann said, hoping Astrid can offer some wisdom.
"Hm..." Astrid said, her brows furrowed together. "That same kind-of thing happened to me. I don't know what's happening."
Astrid thought for a moment.
Things truly were confusing lately.
"I'm pretty sure Kyle summoned a wave today, too." Astrid said, not elaborating. Which was strange, because that girl was always ready to talk about Kyle. Instead, Astrid just took a chip.
"Girls!" Melody's voice rang out from at the from of the house. "Grab your bags and come to the door!"
Astrid looked at Ann, her eyebrows raised in question. Ann shrugged, and pulled up her bag.
Ann had a feeling that this was going to lead up to something big.
Something life-changing.
