"Elyssa!" Pan called. I turned to face him.

"What? What's going on?" I asked. He had a huge grin on his face. My eyebrows furrowed as a smile tugged at my lips.

His eyes shifted downward, "told you, you could do it," he stated. I looked to the leaf I had been trying to set on fire. "Care to walk with me? I've got something I want to show you."

"What?" I inquired for the hundredth time.

"A surprise," he said, "trust me, you'll like it."

I couldn't help but smile, "If you say so."

Peter led me through the woods, even though he probably could easily teleport us there. His hand felt much warmer than my own and, at the time, it was a welcome feeling.

There was so much to drink in about where I was my brain started to hurt. The physical stimulation of leaves hitting my arms and Peter holding my hand. The visual stimulation in drinking in the beauty of it all. It felt nice not having to look over my shoulder for once, and I could only hope it would stay that way.

The blond stopped at the base of a cliff and turned around to face me. He intertwined our fingers, "Ready?"

     "Yes."

The moment following was us flying upwards, his arms wrapped around my waist to keep me from falling. My heart pounded in my chest as the wind blew through my hair. Adrenaline coursed through me. Despite the fear I felt, once we landed on top of the cliff I laughed whole-heartedly. It was the first time in a while that I had felt truly happy and worry-free. Pan smiled as I came off my hysteria, holding me to make sure I didn't fall.

"It's not as scary the second time," I concluded.

"I didn't scare you too much did I?" Pan asked.

"No, I mean, yes, but I'm alive. That's good."

"Yes, I do suppose it is," He speech lowered slightly towards the end of the sentence.

My brain finally registered the fact that Pan still had me in his arms, my hands were on his chest, just resting there. My eyes drifted down to my knuckles. I tried to focus on something other than him but when you're this close to each other that's a little difficult. The sorcerer's right hand left my waist to brush a piece of hair behind my ear. I was sure I was blushing. I think my subconscious registered what was going on before I could fully comprehend it because fear found it's way to the forefront of my mind.

"Come on," He walked towards a wall of thorns. Dreamshade thorns. I grabbed his wrist.

"Isn't that Dreamshade?" Now that I think about it, if he'd of cut himself on it my life would be much simpler.

"It's alright, Love, I know what I'm doing," he assured. I reluctantly let him go and with a wave of his hand the deadly plant separated to reveal a waterfall with a cave behind it. "What's your favourite gem?"

I arched a brow, "gem?" I thought on it for a moment, "I don't think I have one."

"I'm sure you will soon," Peter smirked. He then split the water enough for us to get through.

The little cave was stunning. Any gem you could think of: Amethyst, Topaz, Sapphire, Turquoise, Peridot. It didn't matter the background or where it's found it was there. All there. I walked the perimeter, trailing my hand across the rough edges of the wall. The gems themselves seemed to glow and reflect off of each other.

I stopped on one particular green gemstone. There was a yellow tint flowing through the roughness of it. It seemed to glow brighter than the rest. My hands traced the slightly rough surface before Peter came into my peripherials, leaning against the wall. Our eyes connected before he so gracefully pulled it out of the wall, examining it.
