While Pan went out I retreated to the little tent I'd been staying in. I grabbed a few things, shoving them into a bag. A few trinkets--menial things like seashells. It was when I'd come upon the new resting place for the giant squid ink that I froze. Should I take it with me? Would the Queen question it? Should I... use it on her? Would it work?

I shoved the pouch into my bag, making sure to shove it pretty deep into the bag. I picked up Hook's dagger and strapped it around my hips. Let's hope this doesn't go bad. I'm sure it could go bad. It shouldn't.

After a brief pause and a deep breath, I stood and walked out. Unsurprisingly, Felix noticed. He must've caught my fraught expression because he smirked. I quickly shifted it to a glare. Instead of waiting to see if he'd come to me I walked over to him. He stood as I approached.

"You seem worried," he drolled, "Pan always keeps his word. He's letting you go--though I think it would just be simpler to kill the pirates."

"I'm not worried," I lied, "are you implying I should be?"

Felix scoffed, turning his head before meeting my eyes, "you're quicker than the other one, but I think we both know you're lying."

"About what?" I asked. I got self-conscious, shifting the bag on my shoulder. The head Lost Boy definitely caught that.

"Why, good old Captain Hook of course. I heard your conversation with Baelfire," he leered over me. I suddenly felt so small. My stomach dropped. I paled. I wanted to throw up. "Squid ink, too? What? You and Baelfire planning on running away somewhere?"

I gripped the strap on my bag. My blood ran cold. Where was he standing that he heard all that?

"Maybe I should tell Pan all this--what do you think he would do?" As my terror grew so did Felix's amusement. My heart was racing, "maybe I won't--I'll let you stew for a while... let you get all the way back to the Enchanted Forest wondering if Hook is dead the moment he sets sail again."

               "He promised--"

"That doesn't matter. If Pan is tired of giving out chances, he cleans the board. And trust me, Pan never fails." He turned, flashing me a final smirk and walked away.

I took another breath and glanced over the camp. Everyone was paying attention to themselves, staying out of other's business. Some goofed off, some were just having conversations and all the while they were sharpening their blades and fixing spears and making crossbows. Pan made these kids into an army... whether he wanted to or not. I suppose you would need a militia to survive out here.

Felix could just be bluffing. He doesn't have any evidence. I could only hope Pan--Peter won't believe him if he does say something.

I headed a tent over, carefully peeking before walking all the way inside. Peter was sitting, playing his pipes softly. The sound carried through gently. The song sounded almost somber. He glanced my way but continued until the song was done.

"'Ello, Love," he just barely smiled.

"Hi," I said back, "I guess this is it."

"It doesn't have to be--not forever," he stood, stepping over to me, "you could always come back."

I smiled bittersweetly, "The Queen isn't gonna let me leave again."
