I stared off, remembering when I first came to this island. That particular day was grey. It had rained earlier, so we didn't practice magic. My room had gotten cold all of a sudden. I walked over toward the balcony, figuring the breeze was from outside, only to find that the heat was thick. I furrowed my brows, back-stepping into my room. It was still cold. I walked back out and the heat hit me full on.

All my candles blew out, darkening my room. I tried to find my way to the door. It wasn't particularly hard, but my dress was weighing me down a bit. A frustrated sigh escaped my throat and I used a little bit of magic to get rid of all the puffiness in the dress. Finally, I reached the doors and tried one-locked.

Why was it locked? I tried it again, the double doors refusing to give. I tried to think, searching my mind for a spell that could open the door or make it disintegrate comepletely. Nothing came to mind and I started to panic. Why was it locked?! The door then opened and I nearly had a heart attack, running past the threshold. Regina stopped me.

''What's going on? Why are you freaked out?" I turned around and looked into the room. "Elyssa..."

"How did you open the door?" I asked. She furrowed her brows, looking at me like I was crazy.

"I opened it like you open normal doors." She stated bluntly. My heart was still beating in my ears.

"I couldn't. It wouldn't open..." She made a face.

"Well, if you're afraid of the dark maybe you shouldn't be here." She turned around. "We start again tomorrow, don't be late." And she disappeared around the corner.

Heaving a sigh at having embarrassed myself in front of my... caregiver, if you could call her that, I simply trudged back into the room. It wasn't cold at all anymore, and I wasn't sure whether or not to be happy or worried. I decidedly pushed it out of my mind, walking over to close the balcony doors. As soon as I turned around, my room's door shut and the candles were re-lit.

"You're quite jumpy. Maybe you shouldn't be in a huge castle with long corridors." Leaning against the post of my bed stood a young man in green. His hair was blond but that was all I could tell besides his fair skin with the way the light casted shadows. "You can put that away now, I'm not here to hurt you. 'Sides I've been watching you practice you cant think about someone without them dying-you're horrible at the art of magic."

He motioned his left hand towards my right. I looked down and extinguished the flame. The palace would've probably burned down before I could hit him anyway. He's right, I'm terrible at magic. Who is this guy anyway? And why's he been watching me?

"Who do you think you are? I could call in a guard to arrest you right now." I tried for a less scared more cold approach to the situation. My voice betrayed me. "You should leave while you can." He stepped forward and caught my blue eyes with his green. They were sort of... shifty. I could almost see a sort of blue undertone with each step closer to me he took. He didn't stop until I could feel his breath on my ear.

"You can... but you wont." He whispered. "I can take you someplace far better than here," He pulled back, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder. As soon as our eyes met, I turned away, embarrassed about the personal space issue I was currently having. "it'll be wonderful. I'm sure my friend could get over the fact that you're a girl rather quickly, as well." He spoke a bit differently in they way he pronounced words-like he was from somewhere slightly west of the Enchanted Forest. It gave me chills. "So, what do you say?" He returned to his normal tone of voice, stepping back. A grin spread across his face.

"I still don't know your name." Mystery Boy's grin was contagious as I felt my own smile growing. "How can I trust you?" He chuckled.

"That's an easy fix. I'm Peter Pan." There was a sort of playfulness in his eyes. "And you?"

"Elyssa... but you've been watching me. You already knew that." I dropped my smile.

"Only because I've been working up the courage to ask you to join me on a trip to Neverland." He never lost his smirk. "So? Your answer?" He held out his hand. I took it and his grin widened. "Brilliant."

We landed on a soft, sandy beach. There was a rock not far off shore. The water was a sort of ethereal greenish blue and I could've sworn I saw someone out in the water, but Peter directed me toward the forest before I could ask. Decidedly, I let it go. It was probably nothing.

The forest, overall, was beautiful. Definitely better than the one back home. The green of the trees was almost unreal, and leaves were barely anywhere on the ground compared to what I'm used to. My footsteps were nearly silent, save for the occasional twig I stepped on.

The dirty blond led me all the way to a campsite. It was riddled with boys. One of them sat alone on a log, holding a spear. He looked up, but I still couldn't see what he looked like under his hood. The male stood and walked over, the chatter quieting as he did.

"Who's she?" He asked, voice carrying a bit of annoyance.

"Elyssa, meet Felix. He's my most trusted of all the Lost Boys. The most loyal." I just stood there awkwardly and Peter had Felix familiarize himself with me. From the way the boy responded, he wasn't particularly happy that I was a girl. The group as a whole didn't say anything, though. They never questioned his intentions.

Once everyone had gone back to what they were doing one of them came up to me. He had curly brown hair and brown eyes. The kid looked to be around my age, maybe younger. He was sort of scrawny and pretty pale.

"Hey, I'm Baelfire." I hadn't even realized that Peter walked away with that other guy, Felix. "Look, you need to leave as soon as you can." His voice lowered. "And when you do, you need to take me with you." I furrowed my brows.

"Why do I need to leave?"

"Pan isn't who you think he is. Whatever he says, you can't believe it." He seemed to be searching my eyes for some sort of answer. I probably just looked confused.

Suddenly the boys all rallied, shouting around the campfire. Peter locked eyes with me and gave me a girn. I couldn't keep the smile off my own face. He waved Baelfire ovee and talked to him for a bit, glancing at me every once in a while. Once he was done, Baelfire returned to where I was and the others all left camp.

"Where are they going?" I asked. Bae looked off after them, no real clear emotion on his face.

"They're going on a hunt." The brunette turned back to me. "Come on, I have to show you something." He started walking and I followed after, genuinely curious about what it is he wants me to see. Hopefully it isn't anything irking.

Those were my thoughts as I was led off into the woods of Neverland. Those were my thoughts before I really started to question Pan...
