your eyes are like an ocean and i'm slowly drowning in them

i always ask you if you're okay yet i never get it in return

if you asked me i would tell you i am not okay because instead of holding your hand i'm drowning in your ocean eyes

i try to make you understand that you're everything i've ever wanted

i want to forever look at your crimson red hair that collides with your blue eyes and makes the perfect purple

all i ever see is you
all i ever want is you

and it's hard to look at other faces when the only face i want to see is yours

but whenever i look at you i see you holding his hand instead of mine

i see you laughing at his jokes instead of mine

i see you ignoring my compliments and solely focusing on his

and if you really read in between the lines of the messages i carefully constructed
you'd realize i'm saying 'i love you', while he's only saying 'you'll have to do for
now'

you're the centre piece of my garden and only a petal of his

you're the chorus to my song and only a beat in his

he's giving you a star in the sky while i could give you a planet

and it still stuns me how you are content with mediocre when i could give you so much more than mediocre

i could give you something like yourself;

something exquisite.
