The secrets of the universe,

Vary in size and skill.

Some of them run

And some of them kill.

Some are fast and strong.

Others slow and peaceful.

They keep the world moving.

They don't need any people.

Each new discovery,

Has another story to tell.

Each one helps the world,

Each one improves a cell.

This one creation is small and agile.

Spreading the seeds of others to bloom.

With black and yellow,

And destiny to hold,

The wings of nature

Make it bold.

It moves with grace,

It moves with speed.

Some are afraid

And some are pleased.

It gets no thank you's

But moves for miles.

It humble to see,

The mighty bee.

The large size of the slow and somber

Gets nothing but peace.

The gentle singing

And the sway of the ocean,

Create a dream,

A simple motion.

Mostly alone,

Never to show fear,

Yet darkness lurks,

Always near.

Steady it moves,

Bringing balance to the world.

Covered in a prickly veil.

Thank you to all the whales.

Sharp teeth gleam in the sunlight,

While a dark tail moves in the grass.

Patience is key,

As the wind moves the air.

The smell comes,

And it only stares.

It digs its paws,

Into the ground

And gives a leap

To show what its found.

Hurt and pain,

Is apart of nature.

Fast like a bat,

Speeds the deadly cat.

"Wishing for Animals," is wishing for more of an appreciation for what is already here on the Earth. Animals go unnoticed for what the do and sometimes get forgotten as to who made the Earth balanced in the first place. Not every single animal is mentioned in the poem, but that's only because there are too many to count. Which brings the question: if animals are plentiful, then why do humans mistreat them and set back what they made to make the world live? Remember animals and what they do for mankind.
