Wishing for Strength

A loud scream pierces the air,

As a fist ignites

With no fire to spite.

Words hurt

Just as much as broken deeds.

One can say so many words

That they could fill the entire universe.

With no control

And no care for others,

More behold wet cheeks to the ruler.

Though bravery is stretched thin,

Courage is what pulls through

The day.

Standing back up is hard,

But staying down is harder.

Eyes like lasers

And teeth filed to a point.

The tongue continues forward

And breaks given boundaries.

An argument poisons everything.

Standing back up

With a straight back,

Makes a proud gesture.

While the other keeps talking,

Sights set on silence.

A storm brews

In the grey clouds of the soul.

Words fill the mind

As well as angry actions.

Only the better person stands down.

"Wishing for Strength," is wishing for more people to have more inner self control. Words are very hard to manipulate and use for one's own self need. Speaking a natural instinct, but sometimes the words being spoken are hurtful and only make things worse. Find the strength to be powerful while being smart. Strength is holding back sometimes.
