Your eyes,
They sparkle,
Like the most beautiful pearl.
Your face,
Its shape,
It takes the words from my mouth.
Your smile lights up the room.
Just like a sunny day.
My heart skips a beat.
It leaps for you.
I happened to walk by you today.
You were with a crying child.
His tears ran down like a waterfall.
You crouched down to his level,
Surrounding yourself with peace.
It shimmered a white hue.
You gently placed your delicate hand on his thin, and fragile shoulder,
And spoke words that made the tears on his cheeks stop.
Your whispers were soft and kind.
The were comforting like the wind.
It showed what kind of a person you were.
It only made me like you more.
Rumors and lies are spreading.
People are saying your best friend is a thief.
You still sat with her at lunch today.
You two were getting called names and I could tell you wanted to yell,
To scream at everyone who was hurting your friend.
I would have.
But you did something special.
You went to the root of the problem.
You proved them wrong.
You gave your friend innocence.
You were loyal while still being kind.
What character you have.
It grows and creates wonderful new outcomes.
I want more people like you in the world.
You sat across from me today.
Your smile still gleaming.
Your best friend was next to you.
You made her laugh a laugh I've never heard before.
It was like waking up to a new spring day.
It was nice to see her relax without a care.
You made me laugh.
My cheeks felt like rubber.
You made her happy.
It's good to laugh.
I'm not the most popular.
I'm often laughed at.
They whisper things about me.
I knew it was only a matter of time before I did something embarrassing.
I was walking down the hall,
My chin was up and my glasses were crooked.
Someone taller than I walked up to me,
And stuck out his long leg.
I fell.
I fell down hard to the unforgiving ground.
I felt broken.
They laughed as I tried to pick up the shattered pieces of myself.
I rushed to try to pick up my things.
Camera's clicked as I was sprawled out on the dirty floor.
Then you came.
Out of everyone's hate you came to my rescue.
You gathered my things in a neat and perfect pile.
You gave me a reassuring smile and handed me my things.
My spirit lifted and repaired itself.
You gave me a look.
One of pity and anger.
I didn't understand why you helped me.
You did.
You suffered the consequences.
Now they called you names.
You still stood tall.
You were still you.
I saw a new side of you today.
Not only are you kind,
Loyal,
Honest,
And brave.
You are unique.
You don't care about what anyone else thinks.
You are amazing.
I will never know anyone like you.
This is what attraction should be.
"Wishing for Attraction," is wishing for the power to be able to like someone not only for their looks and popularity, but also on what's inside. Everyone has the traits described. Some people show them and don't care. Some have them, but don't care enough to show them. Be an attractive person by showing your personality for what it is. As Jason Silva once said, " ... Attraction makes the world go around."
