Wishing for Freedom

The windows show the dark and gloomy sky's

As it begins to turn grey.

One wonders about all of the ones who have lied,

The ones who hadn't saved the day.

They could have said that they cried

At the windows that kept them still,

The dangers didn't lurk at the windows

But in darkness that kills.

There are choices that bind the human race

To make it fall to its knees.

The new found chains hold the case

While the mistake starts the plea's.

As the decision is made clear

One regrets what they have chosen,

As the only things they love

Start to become frozen

And fly away from the grim past.

Staring down the crossroads brings many despair.

As it holds the burdens no one wants to bare.

One leads to new

And the opposite brings blue,

Yet nothing can be decided.

Looking to a different place,

Can give a new direction.

Though the normal walk right by,

The ones who have the special eyes

Can see what needs to be seen.

The ones who dare step into the void,

Hoping,

Praying,

They won't be destroyed

As the choice brings them to

Their hearts desire.

The fields of amber grain smell sweet and alive

As the winds blows harder to start the drive.

The orange sun sets in the distance

As the song of freedom reigns

On the plains.

The one who made the choice to run,

The ones who made to choice for the sun,

Are the ones now run free.

With no consequences to punish their scars,

They can live forever,

Sing forever

And lay united together,

Under the shining stars.
