Wishing for Responsibility

A hero they say.

One forged from the fires of old.

A hero they say.

One made with silver and gold.

With great power they said.

With responsibility to hold.

A great thing they said.

Let's hope the liars are sold.

We need one they say.

Though we already knew.

Salvation they.

'Guess we needed that too.

We need one they say.

They'll die when their due.

Tomorrow they say.

Let's hope they're ready to move.

Because there's only one thing to do,

In the greatest war alive.

The weight of the world,

Rests on the heroes of mankind.

With only one life to live,

And no chance at all.

They'll fight with what they got,

Until the last one falls.

Times up they say.

No where else to go.

Times up they say.

Here comes the final blow.

Times up they say.

Here approaches the foe.

Darkness moves fast.

Use what we already know.

Power grows weak.

Sweat, grease, and grime.

Strength goes on,

Facing the crime.

So much to do.

So little time.

Broken bells start to chime.

Because there's only one thing to do,

In the greatest war alive.

The weight of the world,

Rests on the heroes of mankind.

With only one life to live,

And no chance at all.

They'll fight with what they got,

Until the last one falls.

A hero they say.

Wasn't too long ago.

A savior they say.

Who saved all argots.

A new hope they say.

Yes, but although,

I must say,

There are no such things as heroes.

There is such thing as responsibility.
