This poem is inspired by Martin Luther King Jr. The wise man once said, " I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear." I think that we should all listen to not only his messages, but others who only wanted peace for the world as well. For what is life without interacting with peace, love, and cooperation. We can't forget that.

Society does nothing better,
When it comes to holding chains.
With power,
Populous,
And stigma on their side,
One who fights proudly,
Can never fight hard enough.
Uphill battles
Give way to merciless cycles,
Disgraced eyes,
Weighed down by shame,
Wear warriors' masks,
Marching through raging fires,
To hell and back.
The scars of futility,
Fight with inner resolve.
A house divided
Against itself,
Makes its stand.
Only when the dust has settled,
Can the right path be clear.
Battered voices can stay quiet no longer.
They say the time to fight is now,
But war is based on hate,
So let's continue to believe,
But let love lead the way.
For love is what makes changes,
While hate fights to stay.
