Chapter 14: Girl Time

Chapter 14: (Cassie's POV)

*20 minutes later, back at the apartment*

"CASSIE MARIE SUMMERS!" Preston screams. I stare up at him blankly and sigh. "I DID NOT BRING YOU HERE TO MISBEHAVE AND SNOG WITH A BOY WHO HAPPENS TO BE MY FRIEND!!!" He yells. "Yea, yea, yea you say that, but I'm telling you Phil kissed me!!" I retaliate. I hear a loud snaking noise, then 3 boys tumble into the room. I give Preston a death glare as he looks away and yells at the boys. "Guys I'm having a serious talk with my sister" he snaps. I snort like a pig and roll my eyes. "Ya so 'serious' Preston" I say sarcastically. Phil gives me a small smile and winks. I eye him oddly, but smile back. Preston continues to yell at me until I yell, "GOD! WHEN DID YOU BECOME MOM? HUH? SO OVER PROTECTIVE AND CARING TOO MUCH ABOUT EVERYTHING!!!" Everyone went silent. Tears filled up in my eyes and I literally broke down in front of all of them. "WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE THIS! IM NOT 5 YEARS OLD PRESTON! EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE TREATS ME LIKE I AM! EVERYONE INCLUDING, ASHTON AND LIZ! I WAS ALWAYS THE SMALLEST AND THE YOUNGEST AND I AWLAYS WILL BE! THE ONLY PERSON WHO TREATS ME THE WAY I SHOULD IS PHIL! PHIL IS THE ONLY ONE WHO TREATS ME LIKE I'M 19!" I scream through sobs. I kick the stupid couch and scream some more. "God dammit! Freaking bloody hell!!!" I cry. I crumple to the ground and just lay there balling my eyes out. While everyone else stood by the door, with shock emitting off their faces. "Cass-" "No! Preston forget it! Just leave me alone! Put me in time out for gods sake!" I snap. Preston kneels down beside me and puts his hand on my back. "Cas, please stop. Your not 5 and I'm not putting you in time out" Preston says with an edge to his voice. I grunt silently and lift my head up, revealing my bright, red, puffy, tear stained cheeks and my blood shot, tear filled eyes.

Phil begins to walk over but Preston stops him. "Enough, don't touch her. She's been hurt by too many boys" Preston glares at Phil. "He didn't hurt me! You did!" I spit out, backing away from my brother. "You are the one who shouldn't touch me!" I hiss. I stand up and rush out of the room. I race down the many flights of stairs and into the lobby. I run into someone and fall on my bum. "Oh! Hahaha sorry!" Sadie giggles. She helps me up and takes a look at my face. We hear foot steps behind us and she pulls me aside. "Hide under there I'll cover for you" she smiles. I crouch underneath the counter and Sadie leans against it. "Sadie! Do you know where Cassie is?!" Phil frantically shouts. "Oh calm down lover boy" Sadie scoffs, rolling her eyes. She twirls a piece of her hair between her fingers and smiles. "Sadie! Please! Just tell us if you saw her and if so where did she go! Please tell us!" Dan begs. I snicker quietly and Sadie kicks me. "Ow!" I mouth, holding in the actual scream. Sadie looks down, shushes me, the turns back to the boys. "She went to the left, toward the more rural area of London" Sadie says, leading them on a wild goose chase. "Oh my gosh thank you!" Dan exclaims, kissing Sadie's cheek and running off with the other boys.

Sadie's face lights up and she gleefully watches the boys run away. She sighs with happiness and turns to me. "Did you see that! Dan kissed me!!!" she squeals. I giggle as she helps me to my feet. "Why don't we go back to your apartment. Then we can talk about this" Sadie suggests, holding up the keys she managed to steal from Dan who obviously took them from Preston. (She claims she didn't steal them, but I don't believe her) Anyway, I lead her up to my apartment and unlock the door. We both step in and she instantly heads for the kitchen. I follow her and she pulls out some chocolate and popcorn. "Best way to mend sadness is with food!" she cheers. I put the popcorn in the microwave (Mi-CRO-wave as she says). After it's ready Sadie dumps the chocolate chips into the bowl with the popcorn. We both sniff the air and smile. "Mmmm, chocolate!" We say in unison. We both crack a smile and head to my room, where the disaster started. I lay on the floor and complain to Sadie while she sits on the couch pretending to be a physgcologist. I tell her about everything that has happened since the day Alex dumped me. "My lord you need fish Jesus!" She laughs. I smile at her and wink. "Fish Jesus, sounds good to me." I nod my head and she just giggles. "The boys shouldn't be back anytime soon, so what do you want to do? I have keys to every apartment, so we could go prank some people" Sadie deviously smiles. "Let's start here, with my brother and Rob" I suggest.

*1 hour later*

As Sadie and I finish rigging the apartment with booby traps and other various pranks, we wonder what Preston will do. The two of us joyful slide down the railing and skip into the lobby. I sit on the counter and Sadie sits in the chair, behind the counter. "Your so dead after this" Sadie giggles. She twirls the green strand of her hair and plays with her glasses in the process. She sure is and odd person. But I don't have a problem with that. We chat for awhile, exchanging stories and talking about our Fandoms. Turns out we have a lot of common interests. Yay! New friend! Goal achieved! "So, little Miss Blue Hair, please do tell me, but do you fancy Phil?" Sadie asks, using a superior British voice. I burst out in a fit of giggles and say, "Yes, I do 'fancy' Phil." Sadie pumps her fist in the air and says she knew all along. "But what about you little Miss Green Streak? Do you fancy Dan?" I ask. Sadie blushes and I already know my answer. "Oh my gosh! You do!!!" I squeal. I clap my hands and Sadie lightly smacks my leg. "Oh hush" She says, rolling her eyes. We both smirk and become engulfed in laughter.

It was in that moment when the boys all came back. They were drenched in sweat and panting. "I found her!" Sadie smiles. We exchange glances and she winks. I turn toward the boys and when I do, Phil lifts me off the counter and spins me around. "Never, run off again! I was so worried!" He says, sighing with relief. He puts me down, but doesn't let go. Phil holds me tight and I can feel his chest rise and fall as he breathes. "I promise" I tell him. I wrap my own arms around his torso and look up at him. I over hear Sadie fan girling and Dan saying something about us being 'too cute'. Preston grunts loudly and heads up the stairs. Phil releases me and we pull apart. Sadie points at the stairs and I see my bother walking up them. "He's going to be so pissed" Sadie warns me. We both frown, but smile in the end. "Yea, but he deserves it" I say. Sadie agrees with me and we high five. We hear Preston unlock and open the door and walk in.
