Chapter 27: (Cassie's POV)

I trace my hand along the delicate patterns on the cool wall. While, my feet take me toward the kitchen, to where the food is. I find Liz slouching in one of the exuberant, red chairs, reading a magazine she brought from home. "Good morning" I yawn. Her eyes flick up to look at me, but turn away instantly. "Well then..." I scoff, brushing my wonderful, blue hair to the side. Eventually, my hands find the right cereal box and pull it out. The light cardboard is soft in my palms and is easily held up. After I finish my wondrous, but typical breakfast I skip off to the shower to get ready. "Ashton! Hurry up!" I whine, pounding on the old, creaky door. I tap my foot against the hardwood floors and finally Ashton emerges from the hot, steamy bathroom. "Finally, what took you so long? Lemme guess had to look perfect" I scoff. I push past Ashton, but she stops me. "I swear your becoming more and more like a Slytherin!" She glares at me and releases me.

After my little mishap with Ashton I hide away in the bathroom. The warm water trickles down my bare body and it washes away all the filth and soap. As usual I get lost in the depths of my thoughts and travel to a world beyond my reach. Filled with fantasy and my darkest secrets. Eventually, I'm dragged back into the reality we live in and I hesitantly turn the water off. I dry myself off with my soft, plush towel and change into my clothes for today. I pull on a white half top and decide to leave my stomach exposed (like I care anyway). After that, I put on a pair of black, jean shorts and wrap my tie around my neck. Almost ready to go! As a final touch, I put in snake earrings. Now that's a complete look! I toss back my hair letting it fall perfectly in place along my partially covered back. The edges of my mouth curl up into a small smile and I mouth the words, "Time to seize the day."

(Dan's POV)

The boys and I drive in almost silence. Let's just say, no body is on good terms. With Ravenclaw in the lead, no one is happy other than of course PJ, the Ravenclaw boy member. The wind blows around the car tousling my hair and bothering, the already upset, Phil. But sadly this is the last day of the tournament, then tomorrow we'll have an extra event to decide 2nd and 3rd place. Hopefully, Cassie and I will win today... I begin to wander off in my thoughts, but loud music drags me away from them. "What's that?" Chris asks, piping up like a dog who has found a new scent. The four of us carefully step out of the car and trek toward the sound. The ground sinks in below our feet and the grass flattens around us. Eventually, we find the source of music. Turns out it's the girls. Sadie and Cassie sway to the beat and sing along. "SING IT LIKE THAT! I LIKE IT LIKE THAT!" They belt out together. Of course the one part we manage to hear is, "Make the girls take it all off!" All of us become tense and blush furiously. Oh god. I try to pull my attention away from Sadie's swaying hips and torso, but I physically can't. Phil seems to be distracted as well. He focuses on Cassie's exposed skin and bites his lip. Hahaha oh my god the struggle is real!

The techno remix flows through the air like wind, keeping the beat alive. But sadly the song ends. Sadie and Cassie erupt in a fit of laughter, followed by rolled eyes from Ashton and Liz. What's up with them? Sadie pulls herself together, while Cassie clutches onto her stomach still giggling like a school girl. PJ joins Sadie at the entrance of the maze and they both grin widely. "Today's challenge is 'The Maze'! The goal of the challenge is to find the small, crystal ball of your house color. Once in your possession, you will have to make it out of the maze. You may use anything to help win the challenge, except for another team's help. We wish you the best of luck and may the odds be ever in your favor!" Sadie gleefully smiles. Her faces is a mass of happiness and it even brings a small smile to me. Her gorgeousness is captivating. But sadly I'm pulled away by her beauty when Cassie drags me into the maze. We're the 3rd ones in, so we're a little behind. But with Cassie's plan, that shouldn't be a problem. The soft grass crunches beneath our feet as we become lost in the maze.

As time ticks away and the hedges become thicker, Cassie decides to begin her master plan. I lift her up by the waist, just as Phil and Liz round the corner. Phil stares at me with wide eyes, as I hoist Cassie up onto the hedge. Her soft skin trembles in my hand and I try to stay focused on getting her up. But that's a little hard especially, when a girl just grabs your best friend's face and kisses them. Liz reaches out for Phil's face and their lips collide. I could quiet literally feel Cassie's heart shattering. That is breaking so many friend and girl codes it's unbelievable. Cassie pretty much pushed herself up, while I was distracted. The fiery burn of heart break and betrayal glows in her eyes. She sends Liz a death glare and grabs my arm with a blood stopping grip. The rough, sharp leaves cut my arms leaving small, white scratches on them. But once I'm up, Cassie looks back one last time as I stand. She glances back and that fiery glow burns in her eyes. Liz smirks with satisfaction, leaving Cassie with an initial 'I've pushed you past your limit' look. Cassie turns around, tosses back her blue hair, and takes a dangerous, brave leap over to the next hedge, leaving all of this behind.
