Chapter 7: (Cassie's POV)
The girls and I chat about plans for when we get there. As I laugh loudly Tyler stirs on the couch. Whoops... I should be a little more quiet. I shush the girls and we whisper and giggle quietly. Thankfully Tyler doesn't wake up. Whew, close one. As I finish up breakfast Connor creeps into the room. "Oh... My... Gosh!!!" He squeals as he sees my breakfast set up. "Your the best!!" He exclaims wrapping me in a tight hug. I smile and say "Well your seat is right there! Why don't you join me for some breakfast sandwiches!" Connor plops down right beside me and digs into his breakfast sandwich. I take a sip of my milk along with the girls, then Ashton spits her's out. "Is that Connor Franta!!!!" She gasps. Connor giggles and says "That's me!" Ashton smiles so big I swear the whole world could see it. Even Connor looks fairly happy. As the 2 of them exchange goggly eyed looks Kian walks down stairs with Ricky. "Oh my gosh... So much shirtless-ness!!!" Ashton squeals. I roll my eyes and the boys find their spots. Ricky sits to my left, Connor on my right and Kian across from me. Liz and Ashton giggle and say goodbye because they need to clean the house before we get there. "Ok byee!!!!!" I exclaim waving. They end the call and I turn to the boys. All of them were eating. "This is really good! I wish you lived here so you could make this every morning!" Connor says with a full mouth. They all speak with full mouths, sit incorrectly and use their utensils wrong. "Oh my.. you guys need some manners!!" I gasp.
"Why? Oh... yea... southern girl.. You grew up around manners" Ricky says putting the facts together. "Are the others this bad?" I ask. "Hahaha yes!" Kian laughs. I sigh loudly. Looks like some manners will need to be to taught.. As we all continue breakfast I get a text from Ashton. I smile when I see what she says. "Ahh! Yes!! the summer ball!" I exclaim. "The what?" JC asks, walking into the room with Trevor, Sam, and Tyler. "Oh good your all here! Anyway, the Summer Ball, is a dance back in Charleston. It's lots of fun! The girls and I go every year!!" I explain to them. "Oh! Cool! Is it a formal event?" Trevor asks. "Yes.. it is. If you guys need like a tux or anything like that I can ask my older brother to loan you one, but if you don't want to go that's ok too" I tell them. This is soo exciting!! I can't wait! Every year the girls and I go! You get to bring a date and everything! It's sooo much fun! "No we'd love to go! Plus we already have suits from our O2L photo shoot!" Connor cheers.
I giggle with excitement and shake my hands. Oh boy... They are gonna need some better manners if they are coming to this with us. "Ok, if y'all are gonna come with us to the Summer Ball you need to have some manners and obviously none of you have them so while your at our house we will teach you some of the manners we know. Like escorting girls, using the right utensil, posture, and specific words to use" I tell them. All of them groan except Tyler. "I could honestly use some manners. It would be nice to at least have them" Tyler says shrugging his shoulders and taking another bite out of his breakfast sandwich. They all nod their heads and I decide to go ahead and tell them to at least sit up straight. "Sit like this. Up straight, away from the back of your chair, and don't press your knees together" I explain. All of them do as told. "Good job" I smirk. "Oh shush little Mrs. Southern girl" Ricky laughs. I punch his arm lightly and excuse my self to get ready. I put my dishes in the sink and head upstairs to get ready for the day. I head to Ricky's room where my bag is and lock the door behind me. As I dig through my bag to find some clothes I realize I left my phone down stairs. Crap.. Hopefully none of the boys get on it. I quickly change into a pair of black shorts and a white tank top that has a black cartoon cat on it. As I finish putting my hair up into a messy bun there's a knock on the door. "Mind if I come in? I need to get my stuff and throw on a t-shirt" Ricky says through the door. I grab my bag and open the door. "It's your room so of course. I'll be down stairs" I tell him heading down stairs.
Before I even take 2 steps Ricky grabs my arm and says "Wait!" I stop in my tracks and Ricky pulls me closer to him. Then he says, "Will you go on a date with me?" I stood there frozen in shock for a minute, but I pull myself together and give him an answer. "Of course! I would love to go on a date" I smile. Ricky's face lights up and he hugs me tightly. "Yes!" He cheers. I laugh and in my head mentally scream. I have to tell the girls about this!!! Ricky let's go of me and smiles down at me. Why is everyone taller than me?!? Ugh.... Oh well. "Well, you will have to tell me about good date spots in Charleston" He smirks stepping into his room. I roll my eyes and head downstairs. When I get down there I don't see my phone. Where is it? While I search for it in the kitchen I hear snickering in the living room. Do they have my phone? I tip toe into the other room and see Kian, Trevor, JC, and Connor in a little circle on the ground. I walk over to them and I nudge Kian with my foot. "Give it back" I demand. "Give what back?" He smirks. I sigh and say "My phone. Give it to me now." "What phone?" Kian spits back. Ok now he's just being cocky.
As Kian and I continue argue over MY phone Ricky, Sam, and Tyler walk in. "What are you guys bickering about?" Tyler asks. "They have my phone and won't give it back!" I whine. "We don't have your phone!" Kian exclaims while laughing. "Yes you do!!! Give it back!!!" I shout. I'm so close to just kicking him and taking it back. "Kian just give her the phone" Ricky sighs. "No! I don't want to!" Kian says in defiance. "You just admitted to having it! Now give it back now!!" I snap. I never really raise my voice, so for me this is surprising. "Guys it's time to go. Just give her the freaking phone and let's go" Sam scoffs, heading to the door. Kian sighs loudly and hands me my phone. "Thank you" I say walking away. Ugh. Why are boys so difficult? Who cares and who knows? Sam holds the door open for me and I tell him "Thank you". "Your welcome" He smiles back. Ricky opens up the trunk of his car and puts his stuff and my stuff in it. "Any one else riding with us?" Ricky asks the boys. "I will!!!" Kian yells. He runs over to us and throws his stuff in the trunk. "Anyone else?" Ricky asks. They all shake their heads and get into JC's car. "Ok let's goooo!!" Ricky cheers jumping into the driver side. Kian called shot gun, so I sat in the back. I sat in the middle seat so I could talk to both boys. Not like we'll be in the car for to long but still. As we drive Ricky turns up the music and sings along. "The Story Of My Life" comes on and all 3 of us sing along. By the end of the song we are all laughing really hard.
"Wow you can really sing" Kian says. "Hehehe thanks" I giggle. Most times I won't song in front of new people I've met, but I feel like I already know the boys pretty well. "Yea you sounded pretty good, maybe you and little Trev-Trev can do a song together!" Ricky exclaims. "Maybe, but that's up to him"
I smile. After a few more minutes of driving we arrive at the airport. Ricky helps me put of the car and asks if he can carry my 2 bags. "Nah, that's ok I got it, but thanks for the offer" I smile. He hands me my stuff and I sling the small back pack over my shoulder and carry the duffle bag. Once we get inside the boys lead me over to the place to get our tickets and then we drop of our bags. I keep my small back pack with me and I follow the boys to security. We all slip off our shoes and place them in bins along with our other stuff like our phones and for me my back pack. Ricky tells me to go first, so I step through metal detector. I glows green and I step through. As I wait for Ricky and Kian I put back on my shoes. As I retie them they both make it through and walk over to get their stuff. "C'mon we'll be boarding soon!" Kian exclaims. Ricky grabs my arm and pulls me up. We race to our gate and get there just as the call for boarding. We all sigh with relief and walk over to the rest of the boys. The 8 of us board the plane and find our seats. Once again I got a window seat, but that doesn't bother me. Ricky got the seat next to me and the other boys are all behind us. Kian and Tyler are directly behind us and the others are behind them. "Don't like planes?" Ricky asks, noticing that I'm nervous. "No.. Not really... My dad died in a plane crash when I was 13..." I mumble sadly. "Oh.. really? That's terrible. I can understand why your nervous. But it's ok I'm right here for you" Ricky tells me. I smile at him and he smiles back. At least this time I'll be siting next to a nice boy. As the plane lifts off Ricky holds my hand and once we're in the air he drifts off. Eventually I drift off as well. Maybe planes aren't so bad.
