Chapter 31: The Extra Challenge Part 1

Chapter 31: (Sadie's POV)

*The Next Morning*

By now all of us know what happened between Hufflepuff and Slytherin. Phil told the boys, being that he can't keep something like that in, plus Dan probably threaten to tell them himself. Then, Liz told Ashton and I, being extremely loud, probably to make Cassie mad. She didn't shut up till Cassie screamed, "SHUT UP YOU TWAT!!" After that we all went to bed. Yes, very un-climatic, but we were all dreadfully tired, and sunburned because we didn't wear sunscreen. But today is a new day, so it's time for a fresh start. I awaken on the couch in Cassie's room, forgetting that I had spent the night. "Good morning!" Cassie smiles cheerfully. I prop myself up with my elbows and put on my glasses. "Morning," I yawn. Cassie snickers quietly, as she spins around, looking at her self in the mirror. "What?" I ask her, now sitting up. "Nothing" She deviously smiles. By look of that and the clothes she's wearing, she's obviously trying to do something. "Oh god Cassie...." I mumble, realizing what she's doing. I'm actually surprised she is. Last night the 2 of us devised a bunch of plans to get Hufflepuff back. Looks like she's actually using one. Yay!! My plan is going into action.

"Well, c'mon! You've got to eat and get ready!" She exclaims, pulling me up and chucking some clothing at me. I sigh loudly, while she slips out of the room. "I'll be in the kitchen!" she calls out, racing down the hall. Oh Cassie.... What a weirdo... Now that she's gone, I get dressed quickly and brush my wild mane of hair. Happy with my outfit, I head over to the kitchen where I find Cassie eating a bowl of cereal. I grab the other bowl, already filled with cereal, and sit down across from Cassie. She giggles with excitement and shoves more cereal into her mouth. "Oh calm down," I tell her, rolling my eyes. "But I can't! Revenge is sweet and this is probably the best plan ever! It subtle, but will definitely hit him hard!!" She maniacally laughs. Should I be worried? Worried that my friend here is practically insane and dressed in a white crop top (that if it rains, she's screwed... because it will become see through) , fairly short, black shorts, a green tie and combat boots. I've seen her in more classy clothes than this.. Even yesterday was better than this...

But hey! I'm not one to judge! Especially since I get to watch Phil go through the pain of this! Yes!!! The struggle will be real!! HAHAHAHA!!!!! I chuckle along with Cassie and we finish up breakfast in the mean time. As we head downstairs to meet up with the other teams and start the extra challenge to determine 2nd and 3rd place. Ravenclaw won 1st place and Hufflepuff is dead last in 4th. So Gryffindor and Slytherin are competing against each other. When we arrive downstairs in a fit of laughter, everyone turns to us. All eyes are laid upon us, but we ignore it. Cassie just tosses back her fabulously blue hair and smiles. She takes her spot next to the lovely Dan and they engage in conversation. Only if that was me.... Ajfifjdifhfjdbsn! I shouldn't worry about anything... Cassie knows I like him and wouldn't take him away from me and I know anything flirty she does today is to get revenge on Phil. So no worries. "Alright quiet down please!" PJ shouts over the loud conversations. Everyone turns toward us and I joyfully introduce the challenge.

"Today will be a challenge of strength and logic. We will take you into the forest and two of us will supervise each team," I start gesturing toward me, PJ, Phil, and Liz. I continue with, "The goal will be to find the tree in the forest with your house symbol on it. Once you find that you have to climb up the tree and retrieve a flag. After that you'll wave the flag at the top of the tree. Who ever does so first will win 2nd place and the other team will get 3rd place." Cassie nods her head and asks, "Who will be supervising each team?" She winks discretely at me and I nod slightly. "PJ and Liz will supervise Gryffindor and Phil and I will supervise Slytherin!" I smile deviously. With that we took our teams and headed to the forest. It took a few minutes by car to get there, but not long. Once we're there, the teams line up at the edge of the thick forest. I nudge Cassie and whisper, "Don't forget the plan..." She nods and bends over, getting ready to race into the forest. Dan follows pursuit and while I'm distracted by him, Phil is distracted by Cassie. He bites his lip and stares at her exposed skin. Normally, I would have smacked him and told him to stop, but this is part of the plan.

PJ gives the go signal and Cassie grabs Dan's arm and races into the forest with Phil and I behind them. We chase after the 2 of them for awhile, until Cassie runs into a tree. She hits it face first and falls onto her bum. By the sounds of it, that had to hurt. "Dammit..." She mumbles, cradling her red forehead. "Are you ok!?" Dan asks frantically. I could tell Phil wanted to help, but knows he can't. Cassie pushes herself back up and mutters something about getting back up and pushing through it. Man... she's determined to win. As we follow them around the continually thickening forest, Cassie begins to get frustrated. "Where is it!?" She screams. As she throws her arms in the air, her somewhat of a shirt lifts up revealing a small part of her bra, which of course Phil can't look away from. My god... Phil! I lightly slap his arm and glare at him. Naughty boy.. I shake my head, but he turns his attention to Cassie, who has found the tree. She jumps with joy, but being the idjit I am I say to Phil loudly, "Isn't it awful to think we're just small specks of dust, who will have no impact what so ever on this earth?"

Cassie and Dan stare at me like "Are you fucking kidding me" and Cassie collapses to the ground. She begins to bawl her eyes out and screams. Dan cradles her in his arm and tells her it ok. "Don't worry. I know the excissential crisis is upsetting, but we're right here at the tree and we can win this thing!" He says in the most calming, sweet voice. He strokes her arms and quiets her cries. Phil looks like he's about to combust, but he keeps it in. Cassie begins to calm down and hugs Dan. At least it was a short excissential crisis. Cassie and Dan stare up at the tree and almost instantly Cassie begins climbing it, giving us all the lovely view of her bum. Thanks... Phil doesn't seem to mind at all though, but he's upset that he gains no attention from her at all. Being that I know this is all but a small part of some devious plan, I find it rather amusing how upset he already is. But isn't that the point? HAHAHAHA! Dan follows Cassie up the tree and soon they disappear into the never rending vortex of leaves.
