Chapter 16: Pictures, Movies, and Love

Chapter 16: (Cassie's POV)

I scream when I see the disaster in my room. I burst out into tears and fall on the ground. Everyone rushes into the room to find me crying on the ground. Again. I pick up the torn up pictures and cry harder. "Preston! How could you!!" I yell. "I didn't think they were that important..." He mumbles. I curse at him and scream, "NOT IMPORTANT! PRESTON! I CAN NECER GET THOSE BACK! THEY WERE TAKEN ON A POLAROID CAMERA AND A RECYCLABLE CAMERA!" Sadie gasps and kicks Preston. Phil kneels next to me and says "It's okay." "NO! IT'S NOT OKAY!!" I scream. He frowns and wipes away my tears. "Please don't cry" he pleads. I shake my head and Phil hugs me. "Damn you, Preston" I mumble. Preston takes the hint and leaves along with Rob. Dan and Sadie stand there awkwardly until Phil, invites them over to the hug. "Group hug!" Sadie cheers. She hugs me from behind and Dan hugs me from the side. "Don't worry! We'll take new pictures!" Dan exclaims, trying to make up for my now ruined pictures.

We all pull away and once again Phil wipes away my tears. "Oh stop you" I blush. He leaves his hand on my cheek and smiles. "Still up for that movie?" He asks. I nod my head and dig through one of my boxes to find the movie. I practically crawl into the box, leaving only my bum and legs visible. I hear Sadie snicker and whisper to Dan. "Bet Phil likes the view" she whispers. "I heard that!" I exclaim. I finally find the movie and stand up. "Found it!" I cheer, pumping my fist in the air. Phil suggests we watch it at their apartment, so I can be away from my horrid brother. Dan leads the way and once again Sadie trips on the steps. "Damn steps!" She curses. Dan helps her up and her faces becomes red. "Thanks" Sadie mumbles. Dan says, "Your welcome", then he leads us into the apartment. "Welcome to our crib!" Dan chuckles. I roll my eyes and follow Phil into the lounge, while Sadie and Dan stray off into the kitchen to make snacks. Like I said, They. Are. Meant. To. Be.

Anyway, Phil grabs my hand and drags my into the lounge. He plops down on the couch pulling me with him. I end up falling on top of him, but we just laugh. Phil lifts me up and puts me in a proper position. I sit next to him, but sideways and with my legs crossing over his. He smiles and says the 3 words, "I love you" with a hint of seriousness in his voice. He caresses my face and passionately stares at me. Phil leans in and pulls me forward. I close my eyes and our lips crash together. I wrap my arms around Phil's neck and he pulls me closer. The air is still and time seems to slow. The only that matters is us and this very moment. Nothing could compare to this. I open my eyes, to see Phil looking at me. This is the closest I've ever been to his beautiful blue eyes. He smiles and breaks the kiss by saying, "Your beautiful." We pull apart, but Phil keeps me close. I pull my knees up to my chest and lay my head on his shoulder. As Sadie and Dan walk in with lots of food, Phil puts an arm around me. Sadie chuckles and Phil asks her why she's laughing. "I'd go wash your mouth, you have a little bit of lipstick on it" Sadie laughs. My face becomes red along with Phil's and Dan just smiles. He winks at Phil and says "Get it!"

Sadie slaps Dan's arm and he slaps her back. "You two are so abusive" I point out. Sadie and Dan glance at each other and crack smiles. They both sit down and they practically sit in the same position as me and Phil. "C'mon! play the movie, so we can sing along to all the songs!" Sadie exclaims. Dan and Phil exchange nervous glances, while Sadie eagerly hits the play button. The movie begins and the room becomes silent. Well, that's not completely true because the opening seen starts with a song. Sadie and I sing along, but quiet down once the dialogue starts.

*After Movie*

"That was amazing!" Phil beams. I smile at his enthusiasm while Sadie asks Dan what he thought about it. He gives her a deep response and she cries out, "IT'S A CHILDS MOVIE!" Dan rolls his eyes and lightly hits Sadie with the arm he has wrapped around her. He mouths "I don't care" and Sadie licks his hand. "Hey!" He snaps. Sadie just gives him a side smile and makes that "hmp" sound. Then she glances at me and gives me a giddy smile. She's probably freaking out on the inside. Oh Sadie. I return the smile, then turn to Phil. He let's out a yawn and I ask if he's tired. "Yea, it's midnight" he says checking the wall clock. Dan and Phil both agree that it's time to go to bed and that Sadie and I are welcome to spend the night. Sadie instantly jumps at the chance and says "yes!" for both of us. "But I need pajamas" I whine. Sadie says pajamas aren't necessary, but Phil runs off to his room and brings back some pajamas. "They'll probably be to big, but it's most likely the only thing that will fit" He explains, handing me the clothes. I tell him thank you and escape into the bathroom to change. I quickly exchange my day clothes for Phil's pajamas. I smile when I notice he's letting me wear his Gangar shirt. Yay! Pokémon! I fold up my other clothes and walk back to the lounge. Dan laughs when he sees how big the shorts and shirt are on me. "Oh shut up" I scoff, walking past him. Phil just smiles and says "You look nice." "Thank you." I glance at Sadie and notice she is wearing some of Dan's pajamas, which I'm surprised he owns. Then, as if Sadie read my mind, she says "I'm shocked that you actually own pajamas." Dan's face turns a deep shade of red and Phil just laughs. "Well, good night girls, don't let the frost bite bite" Phil winks as he and Dan leave the room.
