Chapter 17: Something Isn't Right

Chapter 17: (Cassie's POV)

Once the boy's doors click shut, Sadie and I instantly pull out my video camera, Which I happened to bring over. Earlier Sadie and I agreed to make a YouTube channel together. We decide to call it 2TotalFreaks. Sadie sets up the camera, while I set up our account. After a good 15 minutes we're ready. "What shall be in our first video?" Sadie asks. I could tell she was nervous but excited. I know that because I felt the same way for my 1st video. "We can do a tumblr tag video" I suggest. Sadie eagerly nods and picks up Dan's laptop, that he left in here. I notice it has a password, but Sadie instantly by passes it. "Bu-" "don't worry about it" she says cutting me off. We log into her Tumblr and start the video. "I can't even!" Sadie cries as I start the video. Looks like that is our new intro. We talk to the camera for a minute, then begin our Tumblr tag search. "Time to go into the depths of the 'CassieRokz' (my personal Chanel) tag" I tell the camera. "Oh god" Sadie mumbles looking at the 1st picture. We both erupt in laughter that was uncontrollable. As we scroll deeper through Tumblr, the pictures just get worse. "Bloody hell! What is that?" Sadie shrieks. I cover my face in embarrassment and begin laughing. "Oh lord, I know this page" I sigh. We quickly wrap up our video and I show Sadie how to edit it. She gets the hang of it almost instantly. So I let her do the editing.

*1 hour later*

Sadie finishes the editing and we post the video. As she edited I made a video for my channel telling my fans to check out our new channel. It was a short video and it needed no editing so I was able to instantly post it. Anyway, Sadie glances at the clock and laughs when she sees it's almost 3 am. "I'm surprised your still awake" she says. Then I remind her that England is a good 3 hours ahead of South Carolina. She nods her head and yawns. "Looks like your the tired one" I chuckle. Sadie attempts to make a snippy retort, but another yawn stops her. "God dammit! I'm going to bed now! Freaking need of sleep" she curse. Sadie almost instantly falls asleep and soon after I drift off.

*The Next Morning*

(Phil's POV)

The bright light blinds me as my tired eyes peel open. Dan shakes my shoulder and yells my name. "Phil! Something's wrong!" I instantly pop up, afraid it might be one of the girls. Dan throws a shirt at me and runs out of the room. I pull the white shirt over my head and follow him. He races past the lounge, but I stop. Cassie is sound asleep. Ah.. time difference. "Forget her! C'mon! Rob is in the hospital!" He shouts. I instantly realize the severity of the situation and know I need to wake Cassie. I shake her whole body, being that she's fairly small, and she groggily awakens. "It's too early" She whines, closing her eyes. I just give up and carry her like a baby down to the car, not wanting to argue at the moment. Sadie meets us down in the lobby and Dan grabs her hand. Awww! So cute! No Phil! Stay focused! I pull myself out of fan girl state and remind myself of the horrid situation. The 3 of us, well 4 of us technically, run to the car, and hop in. I sit in the front with Dan and Sadie sits in the back with Cassie.

Sadie opens up her water bottle and dumps the water on Cassie's head. "Ahh! don't do that!" Cassie yells. "Well, we need you awake" Sadie rolls her eyes and stares out the window. "What's going on?" Cassie asks as she rubs her sleepy eyes. Dan explains the situation, but Cassie remains confused. "Why is he in the hospital? His health is perfectly fine" She asks. Uh-oh... Dan gives me a nervous glance and gulps. "Cassie..." he starts. "What?!" she snaps. "Rob's health isn't good. At all. He's been really sick for awhile now" I explain to her. Cassie stares at me and I can tell her heart is shattering on the inside. Rob is practically her 2nd brother. Cassie reaches for her pocket to get her phone, but realizes she's still in my pajamas. "Dammit.." she mumbles, slamming her fist on the seat. "Why didn't any of you tell me?" She asks in a hurtful tone. "Hehehe! Whoops! We forgot!" Sadie giggles. Cassie lightly punches her arm and says "Oh shut up."

After a few more minutes of driving we arrive at the hospital. Cassie jumps out of the car and runs inside, leaving us behind. Once we get inside she's no where to be seen. Sadie walks up to the front desk and asks the lady if she has seen a blue haired girl. "Yes, she went up to Robert Tod's room" The lady tells her. Dan yells, "Thanks!" and we run off toward his room. Finally, we make it to the room and before we open it we could hear talking and quiet sniffling. Dan and I are hesitant to walk in, but Sadie pushes past us and walks in. I just shrug my shoulders and follow her along with Dan. Sadie stood there looking at Rob in shock, while Preston talked to Cassie in the corner. Tears stain Cassie's cheeks and she frequently sniffles. "Does Liz know?" she chokes out. Preston nods and tells her that they've already told Liz that this could be the last stretch. I stop ease dropping and look at Rob. Tubs surrounded him, going into various places of his body and a machine next to him kept record of his heart rate. His heart rate was dangerously slow, but he's hanging on.
