Chapter 2: Off To California

Chapter 2: (Cassie's POV)

"California!!!" I gasp. "Yes! Now go pack, I have to run back to my house real quick! See ya soon" Alex smiles, running down the stairs and out the house. Once he left I screamed. I race into my room, where Ashton and Liz are pulling down clothes from my closet. "Woah! Cas you ok?" Ashton asks. I continue to scream then Liz puts her hand over my mouth. "Cassie Marie Summers!!! Calm down!!" Liz yells, using my full name. When she uncovers my mouth, after a second of hesitation, I yell "IM GOING TO CALIFORNIA!!" Their mouthed drop in sync and all of us start screaming and jump up and down like 5 years getting candy. "OH MY GOSH!!!" Ashton screams. After 10 minutes we are all smiling like idiots silently. Then Liz suggests that we continue packing. Being that there are 3 of us we are done packing within 15 minutes. I drag my bag down stairs and hug the girls as I hear a horn beep outside. "Im going to miss you!" I exclaim. "We'll miss you too!!" The reply. As I leave our house they wave good bye and pretend to be my overly caring parents. "Byee!!!" They yell as Alex drives away. "So? Are you excited?" Alex asks. "Hahaha! yea!!" I laugh. The airport is only 20 minutes away from my house, so it didn't take log to get there. Once we got inside and got our tickets, we had to go through security. I slip off my shoes and place them in the bin along with my little back pack. Then I have to go through a metal detector. The machine glows green and I'm allowed to pass through. Alex makes it through as well and we grab our stuff. As I retie my shoes Alex tells me to meet him at gate B17. I nod my head and continue tying my shoes. After my shoes are tightly tied I head over to gate B17. I spot Alex sitting near the back and head over to him. "Hey Alex" I smile, plopping down next to him. "Hey Cas" He smiles back. Alex is one of the few people who call me Cas. Only Ashton, Liz, and Alex call me Cas for short. I honestly don't care really. I kinda wish more people would use it but oh well.

As I get lost in my thoughts I'm immediately pulled back out when we are called to board. Alex helps me up and hands me my ticket. We board hand in hand and Alex lets me have the window seat. As he sits next to me he says "This is going to be a 5 hour plane ride." I sigh and say "Man, South Carolina is so far away.. I hate long plane rides. More like I hate planes." Alex smiles and kisses my cheek. "I know. Just try to sleep through it" He tells me as we lift off. Both of us put our head phones in and Alex manages to drift off quickly. How does he do it? I stare out the window and listen to "Riot" by Three Days Grace. The clouds whip past us as we ascend into the sky leaving the land behind. Once the incline is over I feel a little bit more relaxed. Maybe plane rides aren't so bad. Opps.. Spoke to soon. Right as I begin to calm down, we hit some turbulence. Jeez.. maybe I was wrong. It takes a couple minutes, but I calm down again. This time my eye lids can barely stay open. The heaviness finally keeps them down dragging me with a strong pull into the abyss of my dreams.

*5 hours later*

"Wake up!" Alex exclaims, shaking me. My eyes peel open and I notice people getting off the plane. "We are here" Alex smiles. I instantly perk up and grab my bag. Alex drags me out of the plane and into the airport. "Wow.." I gasp. This airport is huge!! While I wait for our bags Alex walks off somewhere. I decide not to follow him and just stay put. As I wait for our bags to come by I get more suspicious of Alex. Did he just leave me? Would he? As these thoughts flood my empty mind, our bags finally come around. But someone else grabs them. "Hey! That's my bag!" I snap. I still wasn't fully awake, so I guess I'm a little cranky. "Yea it's my bag too" Alex smiles facing me now. "Alex! Don't do that!" I exclaim, light punching his arm. "C'mon, there are some people outside I want you to meet" Alex says ignoring me and dragging me outside. I sigh loudly and just let Alex pull me. He drapes his arm around me and pulls me closer to him. I lay my head on his shoulder and drag my feet along. Man... Flying is tiring. Eventually we make our way outside and I spot a gaggle of guys. "Are those your friends?" I ask, yawning afterward. "Yes they are" Alex smiles walking faster. "Ugh you walk to fast" I complain. "And you nag to much. Now c'mon" Alex shoots back. He grabs my hand and literally drags me over to the boys. "Alex!!" A familiar voice yells. "Sam!!" Alex yells back. Sam? Sam Pottorff? No it can't be... Can it? As we get closer I begin seeing the familiar faces. Oh... My... Gosh...

I have to contain myself from screaming. I can't believe I'm standing in front of O2L!!!!! I probably look like a red tomato with a big smile. Oh well. I look up at Alex and say "You didn't tell me your friends are famous youtubers!" Alex just smiles and says "Guys, this is my girl friend Cassie. Cassie, these are my friends Connor, Ricky, Sam, JC, Trevor, and Kian." "Can I call you Cas?!" Ricky asks immediately. "Su-sure" I stutter. Is this real life? I pinch myself to make sure. Yep. It's real. "Well... Let's go to the house!" Trevor suggests. "Yea!" They all chant. I keep quiet and follow behind Alex. I put my stuff in the trunk of Ricky's car and climb into the passenger seat. It's just me and Ricky because the others wanted to ride together and Ricky offered me a ride. "So, Cas surprised?" Ricky laughs. "I think surprised is an understatement but I guess it works" I giggle. "Trust me I'm just as surprised. I watch all of your videos. But when Alex told us his girlfriends name was Cassie, I didn't believe that I could be you! But it is!" Ricky smiles. "Haha! I know right! I watch all of your videos too! And when Alex told me we are staying with his 6 friends I never thought it would be you guys" I laugh. Ricky and I exchange glances and I feel like I have melted on the inside. "Car selfie!" Ricky exclaims, pulling out his phone at a red light. He leans close to me and I smile. Ricky quickly takes the picture and posts it on Instagram. "I wonder what everyone will say!?" He questions.

"Me too!" I say. After another 5 minutes of driving we make it to their house. Ricky grabs my bag and leads me into the house. "Looks like we are the first ones back! Want a tour of the house?" Ricky asks me. "Sure! that would be great!" I smile as Ricky grabs my hand and pulls me upstairs. "This is Kian's room" He tells me, showing me what is Kian's room. He drags me all around the house, telling me who's room is who's. The last room he shows me is his. "And this is my room!" He exclaims. Ricky plops down on his couch and tosses a plush Pikachu at me. I catch it throw it back. "Nice try" I smirk. "Just testing your so called 'great' reflexes" He laughs. "Wanna face time the other girls?" I ask, pulling out my phone. "Omg! Of course I do!" Ricky says pretending to be a girl. I roll my eyes and call Ashton. She instantly picks up and a picture of her and Liz pop up on my screen. "CAS!!!" they scream.
