Chapter 39: (Cassie's POV)
Still trapped I needed a way to get out from between them. But thankfully Sadie was way ahead of that. "Oh! Well I'm done eating and being that I've never been here... I was thinking Cassie and I could go walk around for a bit, while the rest of you finish up."
This tore their attention away from each other and they both look at Sadie.
"Sounds like a great idea Sadie! I'm finished too, so um... here's our part of the bill. We'll catch up with y'all later!" I push a twenty toward the middle of the table, grab my bag, and head out of the restaurant with Sadie.
Once out of the building, Sadie asks to go to the aquarium. "Sure, we can go there."
A wide grin curls on her lips and she grabs my arm, running off down the street, pulling me along.
After a good ten minutes of running, Sadie and I make it to the aquarium. "Oh my gosh.... it's so big!!!" She squeals, like a little girl getting a big teddy bear.
I laugh at her and take her up to the entrance. I pay for our tickets, then we trek up the ramp into the building. As we walk through the building I watch as Sadie shows extreme interest for all the animals. It was kinda of funny to watch honestly.
*1 1/2 hours later*
"So what can we do now?" Sadie asks, jump up and down in one spot.
"We can find the others and decide with them."
I begin to walk away, but Sadie grabs my arm.
"Awww c'mon, do you really wanna spend the day, with the twelve of them, when it can be just us, adventuring around this place?"
Giving her a side smirk, I tell her where we can go next. Then, the two of us set off for the shops.
*Sunset*
The whole day was spent, sneaking around and away from the others, going into shops, taking horse carriage rides, walking down to the Battery, and now ending up here, one of my favorite spots.
Walking down the long dock, I tell Sadie that she'll probably like this place. Once we make it to the end, we pick the last swinging chair, that gives you a gorgeous view of the blue green ocean.
"What's so special?" Sadie asks.
But I tell her to give it a couple minutes, then she'll see.
As the sun takes it's spot just above the horizon, it gives the sky hues of pink, orange, and purple, and it makes the ocean water sparkle like the stars above, that are slowly starting to appear.
Watching as the sun sets in front of us, Sadie mumbles, "Is this why it's special?"
I slowly nod my head and she just smiles.
"It's magnificent."
