XXVII. - Need You -

"Two points for you." Maine whispered before drawing two vertical lines next to Richard's name. She then smiled and thought about all the good things he had done for her so far.

"Ano yan?" a familiar girly voice asked. She turned around and saw Gabbi with her eyes glued at the journal. Maine tried to hide the scoreboard but she knew it was too late.

"No-nothing ... ikaw naman .... Magkaka-heart attack ako sa'yo eh." She told Gabbi in an annoyed tone.

"Sorry naman ... scoreboard ba yan?"

"Yup. Pag nagka-10 points si Richard ... I will make a decision. It will either be yes or no." she said. Maine then sat on the side of her bed and placed the journal on her lap.

"Ay sakto." Gabbi said.

"Saktong ano?"

"Gumawa kasi kami ni Ruru ... hindi nang baby wag kang ano ... we made a scoreboard. Gumawa kami nang scoreboard." Her cousin replied and ran out of the room. A few seconds later, Gabbi returned and placed the board right in front of Maine.

"Oh my ... baliw kayo ... ano 'to?" Maine asked after looking at the chart-like scoreboard closely. Gabbi sat on the floor and explained what she and Ruru made.

"Okay, so eto yung scoreboard. First part is about dun sa things na may kinalaman sa physical aspects. Kung gaano siya ka-gwapo ... how strong he is ... kung maganda katawan niya ... ohh sex appeal pa tsaka fashion style. Second part is yung characteristics niya." Gabbi explained.

"Eh bakit may audience impact?" Maine asked.

"Siyempre kailangan may say ako kung bagay kayo o hindi." Gabbi said happily and Maine just rolled her eyes. She threw the journal under the pillow and faced her cousin.

"Okay Gabbi, let's begin." She said. Gabbi smiled and ran out of the room to get a marker. Maine took a deep breath and calmed herself down. Though the entire idea of scoring Richard's qualities seemed a bit ridiculous, Maine decided that it will help her a lot especially in making the decision whether he'll be her boyfriend or not.

"On a scale of 1 to 10 .... How Gwapo is Richard? Explain your answer."

"Uh ... I will give it an 8 ... 10 sana kaso medyo bitter ako sa skin. Walang pores eh, nakita mo ba? Walang hustisya no?"

"Ay true. Parang pinaglihi sa snow caps eh. Mas maputi pa sa atin. Kung ako 5 lang ang ibibigay ko. But since I'm not you, it's an 8." Gabbi replied and wrote the number next to the first subcategory
