Surprisingly, the next couple of days have been peaceful for Maine and her loved ones. Liz wasn't around most of the time and it allowed her to still function normally as if her nemesis never moved in their neighborhood. Maine spent most of her time concentrating on her upcoming shoot. She also helped Richard and her mom plan the details for her grandmother's birthday. Everything was going fine and steady, that is until she received a call one sunny Tuesday morning.

"Hello? Maine? We have a problem." Mr. Carbungco told her through the phone.

"A problem? What problem?" she asked, getting nervous by the frantic tone of his voice.

"Bukas na yung shoot mo with Liz. Hindi na sa Friday, na-inform lang ako ngayon."

"Ah, bukas na po? Oh."

"Yes, handa na ba yung planned layout mo? Na-visualize mo na ba sa isip mo kung ano yung mga shot angles na gusto mong gawin?" he asked her.

"Yes po. Kaso I'm not sure kung ready na ako."

"Maine, you can do this ... okay? I believe in you."

"Thanks, Sir."

"Oh sige na. Prepare everything today tapos maaga tayong magkikita bukas. Do you understand?"

"Opo naman." She answered.

"Good, bye."

"Bye, po." Maine replied and the call ended. She then took a deep breath and closed her eyes. A few minutes later, she heard someone knocking on her door.

"Anak, okay ka lang?" her mother asked.

"I am dead. I am so dead."

"Oohhhh look bro, may party invitation ka pala tonight." Ruru said while going through the mails they received the past few days. Richard smiled and sat right in front of his cousin.

"I don't go to parties anymore, I just plan them." he said.

"Why? And don't tell me you're too attractive to be in one."

"Fuck no. Ayaw na kasi ni Future Misis na nagpa-party ako eh. Mapapagalitan ako kapag pumunta ako dun." Richard answered, referring to the agreement he had with Maine a few weeks ago.

"Future misis huh? Why don't you marry her then?"

"We've been dating for a month, Ru, for only a month."

"So? My parents got engaged after two months and they married each other a few months later. it's not about time or money, it's about what you feel." Ruru replied.

"Look, all I know is I love her and I'm extremely proud of her. We're gonna reach our dreams together before we get married." He said. Richard then left the couch and walked towards the kitchen. After drinking a glass of water, he look out of the window and caught a glimpse of Maine pacing back and forth inside their living room.

"I love you." He whispered as though she was just standing right next to him. Suddenly, his phone started ringing. Richard pulled it out of his pocket and saw that it was his manager calling him. He stared at the screen for another second before he answered the call.

"Hello Richard?"

"Hi."

"Can we meet today?" the manager asked him. Richard's heart dropped, he knew his manager was already waiting for his answer.
