LII. - Swimming Party -

Things have been peaceful for the two over the next few weeks because Liz stopped messing with their lives and it allowed them to move on and live properly. They also kept themselves busy with their various commitments. Aside from the magazine launch, personal meetings and part-time jobs, both of them also planned a birthday party for Maine's grandmother. Things in the neighborhood became quiet and normal for all of them, perhaps a little too normal that Maine secretly wished someone would stir things up just to keep life exciting.

"Kanina pa yan ah, di ka pa tapos?" Gabbi asked as soon as she walked inside Maine's room.

"Hindi pa eh, mahaba yung pinapagawa ng client."

"Ahhh ... sabi nga pala ni Tita, pag natapos ka na daw bumaba ka na kasi magde-decorate na tayo ng Christmas tree! Yay!" her cousin replied in an ecstatic tone. Maine smiled and turned her eyes back to the screen of the laptop.

"5th monthsary niyo na ni Ruru bukas di ba?" she then asked her cousin.

"Yep, why?"

"Wala lang ... may plano na ba kayong gawin?"

"Lalabas lang ... bakit?"

"Wala naman ... I'm just surprised na akalain mo malapit na mag six months since dumating sila dito." Maine answered, referring to Ruru and Richard.

"Damn ... parang mahigit 1 year ko na silang kilala." Gabbi commented before sitting next to her.

"Me too ... parang mas-matagal pa nga eh."

All of a sudden, Maine's phone started ringing. She picked it up and looked at the screen, only to realize that it was Vince calling him.

"Si Gay BFF tumatawag." Gabbi said.

"Bi siya ... hindi siya gay ... wag kang ano." Maine told her before answering the call.

"Hello Maine!" Vince greeted happily.

"Oh hi, bakit ang saya mo ata?"

"It's my tomorrow, right?"

"Ahhh ... oo nga pala. Advanced ah? Anong balak natin, birthday boy?" she then questioned him.

"Since we're going out of the country tomorrow, I was thinking of you know ... doing a salubong party tonight. Swimming party siya ... a small one ... tayo-tayo lang." Vince answered. Maine smiled at Gabbi and immediately told Vince that his idea was great.

"Nice .... 7:00 pm, okay? Tell the others. Bye!"

Richard spent the past two weeks trying to finish as much party planning work as possible. He decided to delay his modeling commitments for at least a month so he could accommodate more clients because it was the peak season for partying. Richard also planned something special for Maine, a surprise he would reveal later on.

"Bro, may swimming party daw kina Vince mamaya. Wanna join?" Ruru asked him.

"Sure ... pupunta pa dun si-"

"Yung future wife mo? Of course." His cousin said, interrupting him. Richard smirked and stood up from his working chair.

"5th monthsary niyo na bukas ni Gabbi, am I right? May regalo ka sa kaniya?"

"Meron na, ako pa?"

"Tell me, what's your gift?"

"Ahhh ... that's personal." Ruru replied before winking at Richard.

"Sus ... nga pala, may go-see ka mamaya di ba?"

"Yes ... why?"

"Wala naman ..." Richard replied. Ruru then walked towards his table and saw the plan draft he prepared for Maine.
