You padded after Corey, attempting to stick your face in the camera shot. He laughed at you, throwing an arm around your neck and bringing you in pace beside him. You grinned at the blinking red button and set your arm over Corey's back.

"We are going to show you guys the best view in the house." Corey narrated, tugging you guys around the corner. You stepped over stray props, and began climbing the steps of the set.

You walked ahead of him, humming quietly to a random song that popped into your head. You couldn't think of the name, but shrugged it off and continued your journey. At the top, Corey began speaking again, while you quietly whispered the lyrics.

"Oh!" You exclaimed, sticking a pointer finger into the air.

Corey stopped panning the camera around the theater view, pointing it at you. "What happened?" He questioned.

"I remembered the song I was humming." You said, matter-of-factly.

"And what song is that?" Corey's thick brows knitted themselves above the bridge of his nose, his lips pursing in response.

"Out Tonight, from Rent."

"And why are you singing that song?" He continued.

You gave him a mischievous look, pushing back against the railing. "I'll show you," you turned back around and showed him the very front railing.

"Don't tell me-"

He was interrupted as you began doing the remembered choreography. You tossed your hair over you shoulder, bending a leg over the railing and balancing your hands in an outstretched position.

"What's the time?" You began, moving your body in weird ways, and singing not-too-well.

"That was golden," Corey snorted, clapping once you had finished.

You heard extra clapping somewhere off in the theater, and your heart skipped a beat. If anyone else had seen that, you'd be entirely embarrassed. Both of you peeked over the railing, spotting Jess LeProtto in a split on the aisle below.

"Beautiful job." He grinned up at you, handing off a thumbs up. Corey nudged you, knowing of your teensy little crush.

You flushed a deep red, pushing Corey away from you. He leaned down and murmured in your ear, "Go talk to him. Or I'll show everybody that video."

"It's gonna be on Broadway.com anyways," you sneered and shoved him towards the stairs.

Corey flicked his brows up and down and left you on the set. Jess spoke up again, "Hey!"

"Yeah?" You peered down.

"Come hang out with me." He motioned to himself, and you needed no further invitation.

You trotted down the steps, falling on your bum next to him. "Hello," you waved, watching him stretch himself into a split.

"What's up?"

"Oh, you know, not my self esteem," you attempted to make a joke, but only reddened your cheeks even more.

"You're cute," Jess complimented, bending over so that you could no longer see his face.

"What?" You gaped, eyes wide and mouth open.

"You're cute," Jess repeated, creating eye contact once more.

"T-th-thanks," you stuttered out, turning your head away from him. "But you don't actually mean that in any way, righ-r-right?"

"Wrong," Jess pulled himself off the floor, offering a hand to you. You took it hesitantly, standing to be chest-to-chest with Jess.

He gave a small smile, flicking his head to the side and pressing a lingering kiss on your cheek. You set a hand over the cheek, watching as he walked away. As you were a swing, you weren't on too much in the show. So every chance you had, you sat in your 'dressing room' two down from Jess's, still awestruck from the kiss.

You fumbled about with a few moves, and even tripped in King of New York because of your wandering mind. After the show, you grabbed Jess by the shirt and pulled him onto the fire escape. He beamed at you the whole time, not aware that he'd messed you up.

"What the hell was that?" You spouted, crossing your arms.

"You're the one who dragged me out onto the fire escape," he shook his head.

You stumbled with words, "You messed me up the whole show because you kissed my cheek."

"What?"

"You had my anxious the whole show because I don't know what the kiss meant, and I'm confused because I thought you only liked me as a friend, and look, now I'm rambling. Jess, you-"

Your eyes widened as he stepped closer and puzzled his lips against yours. Jess's hands slowly crept around your face, yours falling to his waist. His eyes had already been shut, so you followed suit and squeezed your lashes onto your cheeks. You began moving against one another, the heat and lack of oxygen becoming more evident after awhile. You pulled away from one another's lips, smiled spreading [like butter] on the ghost spots of the kisses.

"Did that clear your mind?" He rose his eyebrows.

"A little [fall of rain]."
