PROMPT: "My destination was actually a few blocks back, but you are the most interesting uber driver i've ever had. So I changed it so we could talk more. But I really need to get back to my place, so if you could just turn around."

Sky checked the time on his phone. 6:45. "Shit." He mumbled, he should've been at the theatre at 6:00. "Never again." He said to himself, referring to the Netflix marathon he had that caused him to be late.

The hotel was too far a walk to the theatre they were performing at, thanks a lot Jeff Calhoun.
Fortunately, this was Stephanie's hometown and she would probably be able to give Sky a ride if he asked. He unlocked his phone and texted Stephanie.

sky: hey sorry to be a bother but can you drive me to the theatre???

stephanie: i'm on vocal rest today

stephanie: you should've been at the theatre ages ago

stephanie: what were you doing young man

sky: long story short, im never binge watching law and order on a show day ever again

stephanie: oh god

stephanie: that show is like a million seasons long why would you ever

sky: i DONT KNOW BUT IM GOING TO BE LATE

stephanie: YOURE ALREADY LATE

stephanie: CALL AN UBER

sky: THOSE ARE SKETCHY

stephanie: WELL THERES NO OTHER WAY

sky: UGH

stephanie: search up 'mallory king' she's a childhood friend of mine and is an uber driver

stephanie: she's cute too wink wink

sky: fine

The red haired boy huffed out a breath of air, obviously stressed. He went onto the uber app and searched up Stephanie's friend. He clicked on her profile and requested a ride. He looked through her reviews, and thankfully—they were all positive. He sent his location and it said that she would pick him up in about 5 minutes.

He sat himself down on a nearby park bench, watching the people rushing past, the people playing instruments for money, and the stoners down the alley. It was a strange city, but when you forget about the people, it becomes a beautiful one.

Sky saw the black car pull up next to him, and the window rolled down, revealing a girl with dark black curly hair, in tight ringlets, that was styled up into a ponytail, which more so looked like a bun, as her hair was so big. He didn't realize he was staring until the girl waved her hand to get his attention.

"Sorry, what?" He asked, causing the girl to laugh.

"I said, I'm Mallory. You're Sky, correct?" She repeated, and Sky nodded frantically.

"Yeah—um," He stood up and took a step towards the car, "yeah." He awkwardly said, debating on whether sitting in the front or in the backseat.

If I'm in the backseat I probably won't talk to her much. But if I just sit in the front, she'll probably think I'm a creep. Oh damn it, Sky! Why do you always become so weird when you see a pretty girl—

"You can sit in the front. I don't bite." She offered him a warm smile, and Sky felt his nerves calm down slightly.

He nodded, opening the car door and sitting down. "I'm Sky, by the way." He introduced himself, then realizing his mistake.
