Hey I've been here a Year! I'm a little disappointed. I thought I would have 100 posts by now. I'm seven short. But with all the posts I have on my Profile this is post 103!**

What Really Grinds My Gears!

The MainStream thing.

People not liking something because a lot of people like it (i.e. pop music or Popular music. I wonder why its called that?) And then the stuff they do like, they don't want it to get popular because then the musicans or who ever will be 'sell outs'.

But are they really?

I know when the band All Time Low started getting more famous. Some people started saying that they've changed, that they've selled out to the man. The made a vide/song called 'I feel like dancin' that was poking at being on a big label means selling out.

I know Bo Burnham a comedian who started out on youtube got grief about 'selling out' and he made a song thing called "You don't know me". Video to the side.

I really think its all silly. Oh no, not the ABC song! Everyone knows about that!

The whole think about liking Indie music like "Matt&Kim".

People are saying that Youtube is making Indie music MainStream and that's a bad thing.

If it bad for music you like to be popular then why the hell do you even listen to it? Is it just because it isn't popular and once it becomes popular you'll drop it? Oh no, I can't be cool and different now!

I like to listen to stuff the isn't really MainStream, like Audiomachine, Two Steps From Hell, Band X Music, Korean Music, and Japanese Music. But I didn't pick it because it isn't popular but because I heard it and liked it.

But I think the whole not wanting to be MainStream is now MainStream!

Boom! What you think about that!? Your mind has just been Blown!

But really those ABCs, too Main Stream. Everyone that's been in kindergarden knows that song!

What are your feelings on this mainstream movement thing?
