Summary:

A teenager named Julie has always wanted to be a professional dancer. Her mother always supported her up until the day she died. Now, Julie and her brother, Dean, are stuck at home with their abusive father. Luckily, Dean got out of the house when he was old enough to enroll in the army. Finally, Julie can't take it anymore so she runs away. While traveling, she meets Vicky, Taylor, and Matt, who all want to become dancers as well. They get together and make enough money for all of them to go to a performing arts school in New York but along the way they get held up by life's challenges.

This story wasn't really my style, but I still found it interesting. And I think people will like reading this. My suggestion is to play up the drama a little bit in the beginning. I can see your push in that direction to grab the readers attention and I don't think it would hurt to go a little further. And just another suggestion maybe the diary could be written to her mother. Like she is talking to her, since her mother was the one who believed in her.
