It was finally another off day; Godric Gryffindor decided to use the time to plan for the wedding as well as furnish the headmaster's office-- it wasn't really an office where they would occupy, just and office they would use as storage and meetings-- and had dragged Flaura into joining him as well. Helga Hufflepuff decided to finish off the enchantments to a room he decided to keep a secret from the others on the seventh floor. Salazar Slytherin was pointing his wand in the sky, manoeuvring something invisible by the looks of things.
"Just a load of toilet paper, accidentally enchanted it," he said, but quickly disappeared as a loud hissing started to sound.
It was a little later than the morning, a little earlier than te afternoon. The sun was just as beautiful as the day before, and they agreed to finally take up the chance of a well-deserved brunch. They laid a large table for five-- Helga was bringing a guest-- took out a red and white checkered cloth from the storage and laid it across the circular piece of wood.
Plates of food crowded the table-- there were sandwiches of different kinds to suit the different tastes, meat of all kinds, some seafood from the Black Lake that apparently the merpeople-- Helga could speak mermish-- claimed to be rare. Desserts, cakes and pastries littered the table here and there. Plates, cutlery and napkins were assigned to each of them, and as 11 am drew nearer, the people drew nearer as well.
In order to seem like Rowena, Flaura made Godric arrive there 5 minutes earlier. The extra time was spent walking around the lake as well as planting a few trees and plants in areas Helga had marked-- she gave all of them some seeds so that whenever they were free, they would plant. They laughed, and Flaura was certainly not regretting her decision. Not yet anyway.
The next person to arrive was Salazar. Wearing shades, he strolled over to the table casually. Despite the casual walk and the everyday shades, he still wore clothes that were of the utmost formality-- he wore dress pants as well as a waistcoat with coattails. He smoked a pipe, smiling for once as he was greeted by his two lifelong friends.
"Hello, Rowena, Godric," He said his best friend's name a little steely-- a little disagreement had broken out between the two. Salazar had been neglecting his duties as founder and Godric, stressed out by the wedding and the work load, lashed out at him after doing half of Salazar's work.
Still as egoistic as ever, Salazar took a seat at the chair farthest from the lake-- apparently the colours clashed.
It was 12 noon. Helga had still not arrived with the mysterious 'guest' and the three that were patiently waiting weren't so patient anymore-- they kept casting hungry looks at the tempting food, but knew it was better and polite to wait.
At half past twelve, two figures were seen rushing across the plains towards the table, hair flying in all directions. Helga matched the sun and could easily be spotted from afar-- she wore a yellow toga and had a red butterfly pinned to her hair. Salazar was trying hard not to grin, but technically, it wasn't that hard.
Next to her, laughing and urging her to run faster, was a boy-- no, a man. He was the polar opposite of Salazar; while Salazar was dark, he was light, joyful. He had a bright smile plastered on his bright face. He had red hair that was messed up from the breeze and was literally wearing bright clothes-- white pants along with a grey waistcoat completely contrasted Salazar's dark green waistcoat and black top. Oh, and the black sadistic pants.
As they neared, Salazar looked away painfully while his other two friends waved. They were holding hands-- holding hands. He did the same with Helga... He sighed. Stay positive, he told himself. They are just dragging each other towards us...
"Hey guys!" Helga chirped, taking a seat with her friends. The guest sat next to her. Helga's face was flushed. "Sorry we were late, the train got delayed," she explained as the group immediately dug in to the meal. The guest, whom Salazar already despised, kept silently politely.
"Tardiness? Not really great, is it..." Salazar taunted in a condescending tone, obviously trying to make him look superior to the newbie. Helga rolled her eyes while the other unaffected friends watched nervously.
"Salzar, just because a train is late, doesn't mean it isn't great. Why don't you insult the guest next time?"
Salazar, who just got burned even more than his pipe, glared at Helga. She was supposed to realise that the guest sucked. "Why don't you introduce him, so I can insult him?"
"Salazar," Flaura whispered sternly.
"Sure." Helga became bright and cheerful again. "Everyone, this is my boyfriend, Percival. Percival Weasley. Perce, this is Rowena, Godric and Salazar." SHe threw a disgusted look at her once lover.
Percival laughed. "Oh, love, don't be mad at him. I was the cause of this wonderful brunch being late." He bit into a sandwich. "Such a lovely meal! Who cooked?" Rowena shyly raised her hand. "Compliments to the chef," he said, nodding towards her. Helga beamed; her love for him was apparent.
And that upset Salazar.
Determined to still appear better, Salazar decided to question hi. Making people uncomfortable was his talent. "So, Percival, when did you get together with my... ex?"
Perce choked on his wine, caught of guard. "'Scuse me? Ex?" He turned to Helga. "I wasn't aware that we were having lunch with your ex."
Helga blushed and glared at Salazar. She had never glared at him more than ever.
"Salazar--"
"It's alright, babe," he said, angering Salazar even more. "I started seeing her a month ago, we knew each other for two months prior."
A month ago? But that meant... Helga had immediately moved on after he left her broken in that hut. And that meant that during their... bad time, she had turned to not only Rowena and Godric, but also Percival...
"A month, say?" Godric interjected before Salazar had time to say anything. "So this is the mysterious man that helped you pull through." He sent a smirk to his friend and she slapped his arm playfully. "Godric," she giggled, snuggling closer to Percce as the group continued to eat.

All stuffed, the group just sat and chatted, with Salazar adding some rude comments and questions and Godric quickly diffusing them, glaring and pleading with Salazar to stop discreetly. Salazar ignored him.
"Excuse me, but I need to use the restroom." Percival got up and walked towards the school. Helga had given him directions earlier, so he found the toilets fine. Helga used the time wisely.
"So?" She looked at them eagerly. "What do you think? Isn't he great?" Rowena and Godric smiled while Salazar scowled.
"He's great! He really loves you, and you really love him..." Rowena sighed dreamily. Godric grinned and nodded his head. "Yeah, he's a keeper. An' I'm not just talking about quidditch," he winked. Helga giggled; Salazar snorted.
"He sucked."
Helga glared at him; Rowena and Godric did the same. "I think your opinion doesn't matter right now," she said, frowning now. "All I ever did was love you, and all you every did was ask me to stay away and be happy with someone else. Now that I have done exactly that, you come back and think you can boss me around again."
Percival had appeared again; he was walking back.
"I hate you, Salazar," she said, and Helga easily slid back into conversation with Rowena and Godric. It appeared as if nothing was wrong.
"I think I drank a bit too much lemonde and wine, if you get what I mean," he said, and the four laughed along with him-- Salazar did so sarcastically. But no one paid attention to him anymore.
Percival looked up to the sky before looking back at Helga. "It's a beautiful day," he said.
Helga looked up as well. "Why, so it is."
Percival smiled. "But not as beautiful as you." Rowena squealed at the sweetness. Godric grinned stupidly again.
"I would like to know what you-- Rowena and Godric, I mean-- think of me. I already have the general idea of what Salazar thinks of me." Salazar rolled his eyes.
"You're per--"
"Great," Goric said, making sure Rowena didn't ramble and embarrass Helga. "Absolutely great." They smiled encouraging at Perce. He smiled back. "I take it that I have made a good impression by our grinning, your words as well as Rowena's squealing." Rowena laughed and blushed.
"Which means I have the permission to do this."
Percival brought Helga to the side of the lake. The three watched them-- Salazar was ready to attack him.
"Helga, I love you, and I know that this child," he touched her stomach," will be in good hands. Our good hands--" Salazar was furious."-- as our child." Helga smiled-- she was unaware that Salazar was standing now. "And I wish to be with you for a while-- I just... an unxeplainable force made me long, yearn for you, and I can tell you felt the same from the day we met."
Salazar was gripping his wand tightly now. Rowena and Godric exchanged looks.
"Helga..."
"Percival..."
Godric stood up. "Salazar... if you kill him, you kill her."
Salazar didn't want to hurt Helga anymore... hadn't he moved on? Hadn't he caused enough pain anyway? She said she hated him... So what was the point of doing this? Of claiming her bacl? Of loving her even though she clearly despised him... after everything he had done... after everything he had done to her...
Percival got down on one knee. Salazar dropped his wand. Helga covered her mouth with her hands as tears of the utmost joy flowed down her face.
"Will you marry me?"
Salazar dropped to his knees in pain as he heard Helga's happy answer-- her shriek of joy... arms around Percival... him lifting her up in the air... his friends yelling, wolf-whistling, clapping for the engaged couple... he had lost, lost everything-- Helga, his friends, his sanity, even...
He got up and waljed away slowly-- he never thought he had to deal with heartbreak so many times in his life. This pain hurt even more than the physical pain his mother lashed onto him when he misbehaved... it was much worse.
As he walked away, he couldn't help but promise to stay away as much as possible. He wanted to take revenge on Helga with his secret weapon, but knew that he couldn't bear inflict the pain she caused him onto her.
Because as much as he wanted her to become a Slytherin, he knew that now she would always and forever be a Weasley.
