❝YOU BRING OUT THE WORST IN ME.❞
SOON AFTER THE murder Genevieve had shamelessly committed, the club had become devoid of people, leaving the Shedevil alone with the quietly playing music and the ice cream she had found from the owner's office. With the creamy goodness melting on her tongue, Ginny was lying on one of the love seats and letting the peace fall into place — she rarely experienced that, as there was always something going on, and often by her own choice. She wasn't one to enjoy quiet, lonely moments, due to them reminding her just how lonely she was, but with the chocolate ice cream and the roughly sung lyrics of rock classics, she was doing alright.
"Having fun?", a voice suddenly spoke from behind Genevieve, and surprised by the unexpected guest in the club she was yet to leave, the queen turned around only to find none other than Detective Chloe Decker descending the couple of stairs leading to the dance floor. "Ice cream and alcohol with a hint of self-pity. Looks like my Friday nights", the blonde joked as she found her way to Ginny, who snorted and sat up with a doubtful stare in her eyes, one that she directed towards Chloe.
"Self-pity is an unfamiliar term to me, detective. But I do not need your pity, either. Did Lucifer send you?", the demon rolled her eyes, very capable of imagining Lucifer doing so. He was trying his hardest to irritate her, or be better than her, and Genevieve didn't like the sound of either. However, it turned out Chloe was there by her own choice.
"Actually, Lucifer told me to stay the hell away from you. But I heard you had quite the party", Chloe chuckled, looking around the messy club that was definitely evidence of the crazy party Genevieve had thrown for her subjects.
Lifting an eyebrow at the detective's smile, Ginny put away the ice cream and threw her leg over the other whilst a curious smile flipped over her frown. "And yet, here you are. Ignoring his wishes and instructions", the woman pointed out dramatically, her body leaning closer to Chloe's, which the detective immediately noticed — yet she didn't do anything to stop Genevieve, giving her the opportunity to observe Detective Decker's rather beautiful face closer.
"I don't take orders from him", Chloe responded quickly, which earned an approving nod from Genevieve — she might have reacted quite aggressively towards the mere idea of this charming woman in Lucifer's life, but the more she got to talk with her, the fonder she grew of her. Perhaps Chloe wasn't so bad, after all. At least she had courage and spunk, both of which were qualities Ginny respected wonderfully.
"Fair enough", Genevieve nodded, her lips curving up higher as she leaned away. "Don't you have... work? Some mysterious case to work on? I don't blame you for coming here though, I am rather irresistible", she then proceeded to wonder, before sending a wink at Chloe, who chuckled in disbelief — Genevieve was so much like Lucifer, even if she failed to see it herself.
