CLEVER AS THE Devil, Lucifer had concocted a new devious plan to ruin his parents and the happiness they most definitely did not deserve, a new method of punishment, and this time, it involved less death and misery — in a physical form, at the very least. Due to God displaying signs of affection towards His divine wife, Lucifer, with the help of Genevieve and Linda, decided to bring the first couple in the universe back together. And to do that, they needed to escape the psychiatric hospital, which went quite smoothly, actually.
As the patients Genevieve had encouraged to wreak havoc did just that, Linda broke the three out of the hospital through the backdoor whilst the staff was busy controlling the mess all over the building. Once the hospital was nothing more but a memory in their heads and a sight to wave goodbye to through Lucifer's rearview, the group headed to Lux, where the Devil made it his mission to make God Johnson look less like an insane, homeless man and more like a dashing gentleman to swoon over, whilst Linda and Genevieve were seated behind the bar and working on a playlist for Lucifer's parents.
"You know, I'm really happy to see you and Lucifer working together. Even if it's... well, trying to destroy your in-laws", Linda whispered in the dark club, earning an amused smile from Genevieve who was poking at the unfamiliar object in her hands — a tablet, apparently.
"What can I say? I love a good revenge", Ginny pointed out as she scrolled through the song choices presented for her on the bright screen.
"And him", Linda then smiled carefully, and surprised by the words that left the therapist's mouth, Genevieve looked up at her with wide eyes, a tad disoriented. But as Lucifer jumped over the counter suddenly and crouched behind it, a happy smile on his lips and his hand taking Genevieve's almost instinctively, the queen ended up smiling and giving Linda a simple nod to confirm what the doctor had said.
It became dark and silent in Lux for a moment, but eventually that peace was broken by Charlotte, whose high heels clicked against the floor whilst she called out for Lucifer. Only her voice managed to frustrate Genevieve, but she found comfort in that they were working towards her destruction, which caused her to sit behind the counter in silence, her hand in Lucifer's.
Eventually, the whole club lit up with the lights all over the walls, and a disco ball lowered from the ceiling to perfect the mood that was initially set by the slow song playing from the speakers. As Charlotte began to approach God Johnson, who was seated by the piano, in a suit and with His hair gelled back, Lucifer, Ginny and Linda peeked from behind the bar counter and followed the situation keenly.
As Lucifer proceeded to explain to their shared therapist how he was trying to recreate the first date of God and Goddess, Genevieve stared at the two as they talked to one another — which ended up with Charlotte kicking God's groin, earning a somewhat satisfied chuckle from the Shedevil. However, once Lucifer had swooped in to save the situation, and insisted that his Father did miss the Divine Goddess more than she suspected, the two ended up apologizing for the things they had done to hurt each other. And in the end, Lucifer's plan worked out, as God Johnson proposed a dance, and they found themselves in each other's arms, softly swinging to the song Genevieve put on for them.
