I DO WHATEVER IT TAKES,
'CAUSE I LOVE HOW IT FEELS
WHEN I BREAK THE CHAINS.

GENEVIEVE LOVED LUCIFER, but nevertheless, she had encouraged him to at the very least try and fix the situation he had gotten himself into. His relationship with Mazikeen was heading into a much darker direction than it usually was, and on top of that, Linda was still downing martinis as a former therapist — hopefully, Lucifer would be able to change at least one of those unfortunate facts. And after giving Lucifer a deep, loving kiss to give him strength and comfort despite the dried blood on his sad face, Genevieve, surprisingly, took her own advice and decided to do something she rarely did.

She was going to apologize. The only time she had done that was when she wanted to patch up her relationship with Lucifer, and this time, she wanted to fix things with Detective— Daniel. Genevieve knew that she was a malicious woman, one that could be described as toxic as well, but nonetheless, she couldn't help but think back to the emptiness that filled her chest when Dan had left the bar as soon as she had showed up. She was used to people gawking at her, worshiping the ground below her feet and feeling lucky to breathe the same air as she did. But Dan, she was one of the few people who could resist her, and instead, he let his heart be consumed with hatred and anger.

That was something they actually had in common, but Genevieve hoped that after visiting his house with a little more sympathy and a lot more apologies, he'd no longer loathe the woman so much.

It was already getting dark in the night, excluding the red sundown in the horizon, but Genevieve tried to focus on the comfortable black that was surrounding her shaky frame as she stood below a street light, her eyes staring at the apartment building she recognized as Dan's. Once she found the courage and humility to proceed, Ginny allowed the click of her high heels break the silence on the quiet street whilst she walked towards the entrance, realizing that it was now or never.

However, Genevieve didn't make it very far, when an all too familiar clutch wrapped around her black heart and she stumbled into the wall, her hands reaching out for balance as she gasped sharply at the sudden pain all over her body, focusing on her chest and making it hard for her to breathe. Knowing exactly that it was the effects of her dagger causing her this immense agony, Genevieve let out a deep growl and rested her forehead against the brick wall — she hated that damn weapon, but if she was in this kind of pain now, it had to mean it was close.

As if on cue, the door of the building opened and a bitchy chuckle reached Genevieve's ears, causing the queen's head to snap to the direction of whoever had joined her — but before her eyes even landed on the right person, she knew it was Charlotte Richards herself. And indeed, there the Divine Goddess stood, smirking at Genevieve who was growing pale and breathless, her curls bouncy as ever and her long legs shining under the lights by the building's entrance.
