In all the scenarios and possibilities he had thought of, he was in no way prepared for what had happened. Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that Sorsa would already be able to use her element. The dragon had hatched for her only a few days ago! This was rare, and that either meant she was very powerful or could use magic before. Knowing her, she had definitely not used magic before.

Claqu was in his tent, trying to explain to the emperor how he had managed to lose a baby dragon, and earth dragon, and energy drained elf, and a wounded girl. The conversation was not in his favor, and was extremely one sided. The emperor was getting more and more worked up by the second.

“So, you’re telling me that you had them trapped in a cave with only 1 exit, lost them to a hole in the ground as the cage was forming, got hit in the face by a dragon that doesn’t know how to fly yet, got all your magicians defeated by an elf and a dragon, almost killed your prime objectives, and simply floated there as you target flew away,” the emperor recapped, “UNACCEPTABLE!!! not only did you lose them, but you also somehow managed to lose the diary! You are my best man, and I’m beginning to think that you should be replaced!”

“Your excellency, I meant to lost the diary. I know that Sorsa will never get rid of it, so I put a tracking spell on it. I will be able to find them easily, and with the element of surprise. Everything is under control. I assure you.”

“I hope so Claqu, because if you don’t find them soon your punishment will be most unpleasant.” With that the emperor’s image disappeared from the mirror.

Claqu swallowed, he wished that his confidence was a high as he had just made it sound. It was true that he had placed a tracking spell on the diary, but he had not lost it on purpose. He blew out the candle, and went into his meditation position to try and come up with a plan. 

A.N. This is a celebration chapter!:D I just finished writing the draft a chapter that has caused me much distress, that will come up later in this book. IT TOOK ME FOREVER! So, I hope you enjoy it later on. Also, sorry about the short chapter but not all of them need to be extremely long; right?
